This is my 1965 Mustang 2+2 Fastback Resto-Mod. I have maintained the classic great looks of the 65 Mustang Fastback while updating the drive train, electrical system, brakes and suspension with modern performance components to make it more reliable and fun to drive. As seen in the pictures, the paint and body work is top notch. I have driven it about 2200 miles in the last four years since rebuilding it. This is a solid car that attracts attention wherever it is parked. It runs, and sounds fantastic.Below is a list of modifications and improvements I have made. I am located in upstate New York. RMP motor mounts. Ford Racing, E303 Roller Cam (266°/266° duration, 0.444"/0.444" lift). Induction System - Mass-Flo EFI System - 1000cfm, 4bbl throttle body, Mass-Flo Intake, Ford EEC-IV, 24 lb. Injectors, Ford sensors, Lokar gas pedal/cable. Cobra oval air cleaner and K&N filter. Fuel System - Rick’s Hot Rods - 22 gallon, stainless steel fuel tank with internal fuel pump, 8AN Nylon braided fuel lines, Aeromotive regulator. ElectricalSystem - Painless Wiring, trunk mounted Optima battery, Powermaster 100A, 1-wire alternator, LED taillights. Cooling system - Aluminum radiator, SPAL electric fan, Milodon Aluminum water pump. Exhaust system - JBA - ceramic coated headers, JBA collector pipes, MagnaFlow 2.5” SST exhaust system. Transmission / Clutch / Driveshaft - Tremec – World Class T5, Steeda, Tri-Ax shifter, McLeod XP bell-housing, Ford Racing King Cobra 10.5 inch clutch, hydraulic pedal system. Denny’s Driveshafts - aluminum, 3 inch diameter. Rear Axle - Ford 8 inch, with Currie aluminum carrier, 3.25 gears, Eaton Tru-Trac differential. Front Suspension / Steering - UCA - lowered 1 inch (Shelby drop), 560lb. 1 inch drop springs, roller bearing spring perches, Bilstein Sport Shocks, adjustable strut arms, Vario-Camber LCA shim eliminator on lower control arm mounts, 1” sway bar, limiting straps. Flaming River 16:1 steering box, roller bearing idler arm, LaCarrera steering wheel. Rear Suspension - Mustang Plus - mid-eye, 4.5 leaf springs, Bilstein Sport Shocks. Chassis - Global West sub-frame connectors, front sub-frame seam welded. Maier Racing - firewall to shock towers brace. Brakes - Front – SSBC 4-piston, 11”; Rear – SSBC single piston, 10.5”, ‘94 Cobra master cylinder, Lokar center tunnel mounted parking brake. Wheels / Tires - Vintage Wheel Works 40, 16x8 wheels, BFG 225R50-16 KDW. Interior - VDO Series 1 gauges, JME aluminum billet dash panel, ProCar Rally seats, 3-point seat belts, Thermo-Tec insulation, back seat deleted, new carpet, head liner, dash pad.
