This is a brand new restoration needing to be finished. ALL the parts are included! A real HEAD-TURNER! This was a pan-off restoration project I started. But because of physical limitations, I am unable to finish. This was going to be my play vehicle, so NO EXPENSE WAS SPARED! The pan was stripped, sandblasted, and painted with POR15. It has absolutely no rust whatsoever. Originally a CA car. All the old drum brakes were removed and replaced with 4-wheel disc. All the brake components (master cylinder, lines, fittings, reservoir) are brand new! ALL NEW RUBBER 360 degrees! New windshield and gasket. The entire vehicle was put together with NEW stainless steel fasteners. Where strength was needed, I used grade 5 or grade 8 bolts. The Air-box was completely rebuilt. All the electrical wiring has been replaced. All new gauge cluster. Rebuilt speedometer showing 2 miles. THE ENGINE IS BRAND NEW! Not rebuilt, but a brand new 1641 turnkey from GEX ($4,500) with chrome kit! It has an upgraded alternator (deletes voltage regulator) for consistent power. This engine has an electronic ignition, so no more setting messy points. New muffler, and chrome tail-pipes. Rebuilt 4-speed transmission with new clutch, pressure plate, and throw-out bearing. It has all new upholstery. All the padding was removed. The seat frames were sanded, painted, new padding and upholstery. Off white vinyl with tan velour inserts. This Bug even comes with a Bluetooth DVD video stereo with a back-up camera for added safety. I have over $16,000 in new parts alone, not counting the hundreds of man-hours detailing this classic car. A brand new cherry wood and chrome VW steering wheel still in box. My loss is your gain. New hi-grade canvas, padding, and liner already purchased. Under hood: Rebuilt air box needs to be installed. New modern windshield wiper bottle/pump needs to be mounted. I have all the parts necessary to complete the build, plus boxes of extras. I have a quart of the paint for touch-ups. It is a two-stage clear coat over base coat paint.
