Vehicle Detail
WOW ...what a barn find. There is no title or registration available with this . For parts or not working condition only. This is currently in " not running condition . The motor does not crank over. This car has the original comorant mascot, windshield wipers, stainless steel trim, a working luggage rack with the Packard emblem , the rear license plate light which has PACKARD embossed in it, the name Packard is engraved on the small rear light and the dash is complete with a banjo steering wheel that has PACKARD in the center, the original running boards, and the sun visor frames are intact. The drivers door arm rest, and the ashtray for the rear on the driver side have been located & are in pic. of items found in car. There is a piece of the original running boards floor mat, which will be great for a sample of what you would need . The seats have the framing and springs for the restoring. The trunk lid hinges are very tight and the trunk latch is "frozen". The floor boards to the trunk and the outer body area under it are rotted out. The rear differential is all intact and the rear leaf springs still have the leather covers on them. Tires are all dry rotted but still hold air. The engine compartment is complete ,as is the wiring harness and the distributor. All the doors open and close securely. Glass needs to be replaced in the windows and some windows are "frozen". Both hoods open properly and latches work .There are areas that need body work and also surface rust in spots. We could not locate a key. The running boards are rusty but not rusted through. The four doors alignment to the body are very straight & run true to the body contour. There are 2 bullet holes in the pass. side rear door and I do not know the story as to who, how, or when. There are 24 pictures and if I have forgotten a detail you need to know about PLEASE ask. This needs to be restored to the classic automobile it can be again.
