Selling my Defender that was bought back in 2009. Had major stalling issues at first once can once the engine warmed up. Turns out it was due to a bad ground and the truck has been reliable ever since. Replace the following - back door & lock (due to rust), passenger floor panel (again due to rust), fuel pump, shocks, tie rod ends, steering damper, door & vent seals, ignition switch, tunnel carpet, front seat covers, and added a Land Lover head unit for stereo. Changed the floor mats, back signal covers, front seat belts, and the transmission shifter illumination unit because they were showing signs of age. Replaced some of the rusting bolts with stainless steel bolts. A few years back my Defender was parked in-front of the house, and was his hit. Pushed in the driver front fender and the brush guard in. With the exception of the guard, it was all minor. The fender was repaired and the guard replaced along with all four eye brows. The side steps were also replaced at this time since they did not match the newness of the brush guard. Averaged about 1,400 miles per year with this truck. In fact, the past two years I hardly used the car at all. Recently I discovered that the car was driving really rough. Had an independent Land Rover mechanic look at the problem and he did something with the oxygen sensors and converters which fixed the problem. In fact, its running better now than it has in the last six years. Knowing I was planning to sell, he looked over the truck and replaced the water pump and oil pan seal. The bad: After coming back from the shop this last time, something happened to front speakers. Maybe be a speaker problem, but it's now not working correctly. The back speakers work fine. The front swivel seals will need to be addressed sometime, but for now they are ok according to my mechanic. AC works but not as cold is in the past. This is an Ohio Defender, so rust is to be expected. Overall a nice usable Defender. Please note the rear tire-cover is not original to the Defender.
