Vehicle Detail
Please read this complete listing and ask questions prior to bidding. This truck was taken pursuant a court order to pay restitution. Prior to the truck being turned over it was stolen and found parked on the side of the road. The ignition had been punched and the driver side rear window was out of the track. That is all we know of the history of this vehicle. The truck was towed to our maintenance yard. We were able to jump start the truck and it ran very smooth, but began to sputter as we realized it was out of fuel. Before we could shut it off the engine died. Two new batteries were installed, the steering column and ignition switch was replaced as well as some fuses. We were able to start the truck using starter fluid, but it would not run without another squirt of starter fluid. I had the technicians do some basic trouble shooting and below are the direct notes. “Got engine to crank, but would not start. Believe there is a wiring problem between ECM and BCM- no gauges from start and fuel pump relay is intermittent. Primed fuel system, but something electrical preventing engine from starting.” The bottom line is it is not picking up fuel and more troubleshooting is required to figure it out, but I do not have the resources to do that. It may be a fuel pump, but also something worse. One of the technicians had a similar problem on a personal vehicle and it was an injector pump, which cost approximately $5,000. The driver rear window has a bad regulator motor. They put the window back in the track, but I went to check on the truck and the window had fallen back down so there must be something else track related which is why the window does not stay up. There is a large dent in to front bumper and some scratches in the paint. The center console opens with difficulty as the latch appears to be broken. The steering column has not been put all the way back together. The tailgate of the truck has significant dents and scratches. This is a project truck with good potential and does clean up fairly decent. We do not offer shipping. We will meet with your shipper and assist as best we can. Message us to see the truck.
