1968 Mustang Convertible project car, VIN 8T03T144973; door tag: 76A A 2F 06A 15 4 W This is a inline six cylinder car (200 CID I6) with an C4 automatic transmission and center console; comes with a clean title. The engine did run as late as last September; it will turn over but will not stay running. I don’t know if it is because of stale gasoline or not; when using starting fluid, it will catch momentarily but does not stay running. The car has had some quarter panel work in the past by previous owner but still needs work in the floor area; it will need new floor pan patches (IMO it does not need a complete floor pan), inner rockers, one trunk drop off, rear valance & tail light panel, and front torque boxes at a minimum. The outer rockers look okay to me; I haven't found any rust holes in the outer rockers. The transmission tunnel into the rear seat/trunk transition area is okay. All the glass is good; no cracks or pits in the panes. Chrome on the windshield is in great shape. Car has the original hub caps, console, and air cleaner assembly. Original radio is gone; I threw the carpet out since it was stained. I stripped the car of the interior and removed the power top to get ready for working on the floor pans; all the parts are there except for the front and rear bumpers. I purchased the car last June with the intention of restoring it but life has gotten in the way; I simply do not have the time to dedicate to such a large undertaking. You will need a trailer or flatbed tow truck to take the vehicle home. Car is located in Greenville, SC right off of Interstate 85. Frame, vinyl, latches and hinges are in excellent shape.***Update 6/17/16***: The original listing expired 6/16; the highest bid was short of my reserve price.
