Hi VW lovers!So we thought we would keep him forever but the whole family is moving to Europe... this one has to stay in new caring and loving hands. The lows to start (see condition section for details):Speedometer works perfectly, odometer failed last summer as we came back from our family trip (if you know how they are made, it's from the little black wheel on the top corner at the back, swap it and you're good to go). Odometer indicates 198k or so, but the previous owner told me he swapped the whole speedo/odometer because the original didn't display speed. Therefore mileage is unknown (and with these vehicles changing the speed/odometer is so easy that really, anybody can claim anything). Now the great sides / updates:Roof seal replaced (the thick one, going across the front of the pop top, sealing with the front part of the roof)Stove and Electric/Propane fridge working perfect. New battery 2 years ago. Additional RPM meter on dashboard, manual transmission, 4 speed. Functioning heating front and back flooring (it's challenging to find ‎one that works amongst these old beauties). Leather (I suppose not real) flooring in the main area and alley between seats, making cleaning a breeze. It's also resistant and soft under the foot. NEW from last summer: - roof paint- 3 window pop top roof canvas with bug screens, - windshield, - front grill, - steering coupler, - rear hatches, - master brake cylinder, front calipers and brake pads, rear brake cylinders, and‎ all metal brake lines, - clutch (so you won't ever have to spend $1100) and engine tune up, - alignment. Other features and info: - 17 alloy inch wheels, 225 mm wide tires, obviously for the look and comfort. Responsive and comfy ride, a huge step up from the original wheelbarrow wheels. All season tires in front about half or less used; almost new performance tires at the back (5,000km max on them). - stereo with Bluetooth to listen to your music and enjoy hands free phone conversations, 6 speakers, with remote control to command from the back seat. - original bug screen for hatchback and all window curtains (including the large front part that snaps around the windows and windshield). - engine pan heater for winter warm up if needed (had that installed as we thought we go skiing but never went). - engine rebuilt by VW 50'000 km ago, starts and runs very well.
