Just what the title says. 2002 Jetta TDI. I have had a local European car shop diagnose a coolant loss/overheating issue and it needs a head gasket. I do not have the money to put into it. I just want it to go to to someone who is willing to show some love for this fun car. It has been an awesome vehicle. It has taken me all over the country in the last few years and I will be sad to see it go. Condition: The good: - $2000 worth of work and parts in the last 6 months: Timing Belt and Pulleys done at 98k and 166kWater Pump at 166k New Brakes at 166kNew Serpentine Belt at 166kNew Serpentine Belt at 166kNew Inter-cooler at 198k New Glow Plugs at 198k New Fuel Filter at 198k - Transmission is good - Clean title ready to sign over - I have the vehicle maintenance history, even from the previous owner - It has a plug-in block heater (I do not know of any other Jetta TDI in the country that has one!) - Everything electrical works - Interior is reflective of 202k, but has been completely cleaned - New headlight bulbs - Monsoon stereo - Tinted windows - Sunroof - Awesome snow tires currently mounted. (handled living at a ski resort with no issues) - Yakima roof rack towers and bars (not mounted) Bad: - Needs a head gasket. The inspection from Durango Small car included a cylinder head pressure test proving that the head gasket is the culprit. - The paint is not the best. All MLH Jettas have this issue. Nothing out of the ordinary. - Passenger side mirror needs to be replaced. This car gets around 33-37 mpg. It does not start or drive currently. The battery is almost dead and will not crank the engine. If you are willing to get the work done you will have a good car. I have over 450 auctions and 100% feedback. I think that speaks for itself.
