Car is sold in as is condition as stated in description and there is no warranty expressed or implied in this sale. Ask all questions first there will be no tire kicking or renegotiations after the sale. THIS IS THE ONLY TIME THIS WILL BE LISTED. YOU WILL NOT FIND A 40 FORD LIKE THIS AT MY RESERVE, PERIOD. There are videos of the car on you tube. I encourage all bidders to watch them as they are current as well as the pictures. www.youtube.com/radrodsbycarrero This car was appraised in 1999 upon completion for 55,000 dollars (included). Reserve is thousands less. This is a full custom 1940 Ford Standard Coupe. I CALL THIS THE GENTLEMANS PRO STREET HOT ROD. This car looks like it will do 200mph down the straight away but is just the opposite. It is a mildly built 350 Chevy motor with Air conditioning, heat and a 700 over drive transmission. Does not have the pro street vibe at all when driving it is very comfortable. Steers straight over any bumps no walk around issues or pulling what so ever. POWER WINDOWS BOTH SIDES ELECTRIC TRUNK OPENER ON REMOTE (by Balls Kustoms). Has safety poppers one outside for drivers door and one inside for trunk. .Original steel body with hidden hinges and an all steel floor.. 4 wheel disc brakes with custom front cross member with mustang rack. Custom beveled glass with no center divider, remote side mirrors. All trim and moldings were removed for that slim look.. Tubbed rear wheelhouse with wider fenders to fit the monster Hoosiers out back sporting Weld rims.. Custom built tube frame which holds a Ford 9 inch rear with 4 link ladder bar and coil overs with a custom drive shaft and sway bar with a Aluminum fuel cell mounted under the car ( you still have a full trunk and a pull down compartment as well). Custom steering column and custom headers with stainless steel exhaust and mufflers. Sounds nice but not overly loud so you can hear yourself talk to your passenger.. Electric wipers all gauges work as they should. Blinkers / turn signals etc.. Interior as pictures show is very comfortable for even tall drivers as well. Tweed with custom billet handles with courtesy lights in them wrapped with leather burgundy accents which match the dash. The dash has custom radio insert and custom gauges with panel and air vents. . The motor has either stainless or billet or chrome. No expense spared for the look. As detailed in as it is outside. Has oil cooling fan set up under the car. As well as an electric fan at the radiator. Usually sits about 185 degrees without the fan. New battery all fluids changed for new season, Also has new jump buddies under passenger fender incase you need a jump start without opening the hood. . I could probably go on forever but This should get you an idea of the work involved to build this car. Remember the appraisal was in 1999. In todays money you be closer to 80 easy to have a shop do this. I am not into memory lane or joy rides. Cash gets this car out of my garage. Will not list again. Will not negotiate any deals after the fact. If you want a real 40 and if your looking for that willy's look. This is as close as it gets. Like all older cars driven expect some nicks or some imperfections. This is to be expected. Passenger window goes up but it's finicky coming down. I thought it might be the remote, I changed the battery and bought two more after market remotes that still need to be programmed. Balls Kustom electronics for all the power functions is in the glove box. Has their number and on their site shows you how to program new remotes. I never have the windows up. This car doesn't get wet and is never driven in inclement weather. If it sits a long time typical of Chevy small blocks will drip a few drops. It's time to recharge AC If you prefer to. I can't take the pleasure in saying I built it but I'm proud to have owned it. Expect what is written, pictured, and video. Ask all questions. Car sits more than driven time for someone to enjoy.I don't do non refundable deposits, because I describe my cars to my best ability. I don't play games and don't want the same in return. Please understand your buying a used car. Not a chip foose car done yesterday. Car has been done over 12 years. I prefer to sell to only the United States. If you're outside the country I would like to speak to you first or I will block you. Because of the quality of car I would have it shipped enclosed. I will provide pictures and video of pick up so you can see your new ride before it leaves for it's new caretaker. SWAPS ON THE 40 MAY BE CONSIDERED. MUST BE COMPATIBLE IN PRICE, 1940 Fords ARE NOT CHEAP CARS DONE OR in projects. SWAPS COME TO ME. I WON'T DRIVE AND MEET HALF WAY. ONLY COMMITTED OFFERS NEED ASK AND SHOW UP AT MY DOOR. Don't offer if your looking to play the game. Offer if your looking to own. Thanks for looking and taking the time to read this to the end. On Jun-01-16 at 18:39:27 PDT, seller added the following information: I like to answer a couple questions that seem to be the most popular. Yes I have a 1923 T Bucket rod for sale too, Yes it is in my name all my cars are and I would be happy to do a package deal if we agree upon a price. Yes a buy it now can happen for either vehicle or both with a recent proven history on large purchases. In this case I would ask for a deposit of 5000 by wire transfer to prove you are committed to a buy it now on either one or both. Non-refundable. Transfer is done first then I will do a buy it now for the difference. I am real my feedback speaks volumes and please look at my past sales. I also have been asked if I am open to offers. Of course I am, I can set the reserve at any agreed upon amount. I am just looking to replace a classic car for a classic car. Will I disclose the reserve? Yes feel free to ask. This is an auction please ask as many questions as possible. Last most popular. I know I listed the car as U.S. only. I had a lot of Europe interest in the car. If you have a proven past on large purchases such as cars and you like to bid. Contact me. Payment by wire transfer no matter where your located here or there is the only method I will take. Lastly shipping. Yes large car carriers can drive right to my door easily. The car will not be driven after purchase until pick up. It is and will be inside my private garage until the day of pick-up. I hope these answers help make your bidding experience an easy one. And thank you for all the trade options, If this does not sell, I will take them into consideration.
