Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a 1941 62 Series Cadillac Sedan. The entire history of the car is known and documented since it was purchased new. For a majority of this car’s life, it was owned by one family in Kannapolis, NC. Records of previous registration and insurance documentation are available. The granddaughter of the original owner signed the title over to me when I purchased the car. The car is a mechanically sound, 'no rust' car. No car of this age is without at least a little rust, however this is an excellent example of this model in factory original condition. The only problem area to speak of is the bottom of the spare tire well. As shown in the pictures, there is some perforation there. Again, this is to be expected with a car this old.-All the floors in the car are in good shape -The brake shoes and wheel cylinders were recently serviced -The car has a new clutch in it -The engine is very fresh and runs very strong -The entire exhaust system was recently replaced -The carburetor was just rebuilt -The starter was also recently rebuilt -The temperature sending unit, which isn’t pictured or installed, is included in this auction -The ground straps, carburetor heat shield, and the radiator cap have all been replaced since purchasing the car -The original radio and heater are included in the sale, however I can’t confirm whether either function -The rare and original style starter/solenoid (Cadillac part #1542) needs rebuilding to cure sluggish refiring when the car is hot -Pieces of the trunk liner and sound proofing materials are included as pictured for use as patterns should you want to have replacements made -This is a numbers matching car, meaning that the engine and transmission numbers match the chassis number, thus proving that the drivetrain currently in the car is the factory original drivetrain. This is a beautiful example of a 1941 Series 62 Cadillac that drives as good as it looks! You won't soon find another Series 62 Cadillac that can be driven and enjoyed as is, while you restore the small issues.Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. Thanks for looking!
