I've had this truck for 10 years and it's been great. It pulls the boat easily, has great power, always passes smog and safety, plus I know my family is safe driving it around. The other day we discovered a leak in the intake manifold. Ford has the water jacket going though the manifold and one of the seals failed and now squirts out water. The o ring itself cannot be replaced the entire manifold needs to be redone. So this is being sold as a NON RUNNING truck. You can drive it some, but I don't think it's a good idea to go very far. If you google it, you can find the part for around $200. There is an somewhat intimidating youtube video on how put it in. The local Tunex wanted $900 to do it. Here is where I messed up. I told my wife she could look for other cars while I worked on this one. She came home with A BRAND NEW SUV!!! Yikes, I should have worked faster! So now the Expedition is up for sale. I don't want to fix it, so if you want to save some money, and have some time this could be the truck for you. She has some things broken a bunch of good stuff: All the stuff that comes with the Eddie Bauer, including the leather seats and cruise control A/C works good The third row seat New Ceramic Brakes as of November I just spent almost $900 on new tires as of November. Fresh oil as of 10 miles ago A new air filter as of 10 miles ago. And for the broken stuff: The intake manifold is leaking water. I might try JB welding it so it will at least drive. As it is now you can drive it out of the neighborhood a little, but much more than that might be a bad idea. The drivers seat doesn't go forward and back anymore. We set it to where it fits my wife. The rear wiper is broken The rear window defrost is broken off of the window, a new rear window would fix that. The rear left door doesn't open from the inside Some corrosion is showing on the front. It's bubbled the paint. A little on the end of the hood and some above the windshield. She is high miles with 227985. While she has the 5.4, she is 2wd. I'll deliver within Saratoga Springs, other than that you will need to arrange pickup, towing would be smart if you are going very far. For those is the Utah Valley or Salt Lake City area.
