Vehicle Detail

This 1969 Ford Mustang was in the process of being restored when the owner was stricken with cancer. Subsequently, the owner got too sick to complete his project. Sadly, I must sell this vehicle now. It's title is clear. Someone, who is mechanically inclined & has the time & talents, could restore this car to its original condition. For sure, it would certainly have value for parts alone. Mustang is located in the Philadelphia, PA area. Local pick-up only... BUT, towing of this vehicle, for purposes of delivery to the buyer, can be arranged for the cost of the 'flat-bed' tow. Feel free to contact me with inquiries about this Mustang. On May-22-16 at 17:41:40 PDT, seller added the following information: Corrected VIN#: 9T01F 11999 8 Z . I inadvertently omitted the "0" following the letter "T" in the VIN# on my original listing. This is the correct VIN#. The title is clear & NOT a salvage title. From what I can conclude in deciphering this vehicle's VIN, this Mustang was assembled in Metuchen. On May-23-16 at 10:31:48 PDT, seller added the following information: Engine size: 302 5.0On May-23-16 at 10:38:05 PDT, seller added the following information: Payment accepted via PayPal as well.On May-23-16 at 17:53:35 PDT, seller added the following information: For my curiosity's sake, I wanted to see if I could get it to run.. & with a bit of priming of the carburetor & attaching a newer solenoid, as the one on the vehicle is not working... it turned over. It obviously needs tires. With some mechanical talents, this original 302 engine would PURRRrrrrrrr! On May-27-16 at 16:46:47 PDT, seller added the following information: Added several photos, which I took today... of the underside, carpeted areas of the driver & passenger sides, closer photo of backside of engine's radiator area & gas tank. It is sitting on a grassy lot & thus I am not able to get better photos of the underside. All I know is that it will need some attention, but the frame is not rusted out... nor is the gas tank area. The motor was carefully gone over by a registered/certified auto mechanic & his verdict... THE MOTOR IS IN GOOD SHAPE. My advice to the prospective buyer... to pump out the gas tank, since the gas cap is not in place & I am concerned that perhaps some rain, etc. may have fouled the contents of the gas tank. I was able to get the motor started by spraying ether into the carburetor... but only ran it momentarily... not wanting the gas to pump from the tank into the engine.... only because it has been sitting for nearly 2 years. Hope all this information & photos help those of you trying to make a decision to buy this Mustang. It is in "AS IS - WHERE IS" condition, but the motor is in good shape & the body will need restoration. Considering its age, the upholstery is in pretty good shape as well. GOOD LUCK. one & all!
