2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4dr 4x4 Up for Sale is a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4dr 4x4. I acquired this Jeep 2 years ago from a local Sheriff's Office it was a one owner vehicle since it was purchased new in 2000. I purchased it as a spare vehicle for hauling my jet ski & trailer to and from the lake. However my kid's didn't use the jet ski as often as I anticipated and this Jeep has basically just sitting in the garage most of the time and I just don't use it as much so I figured I'd just get rid of it and hope someone else could put it to better use. This is a Cherokee Sport 4 door 4x4 with the bullet proof 4.0 inline 6 cylinder engine with 236K miles on the odometer. The miles did not scare me a bit with this engine. Starts up and drives down the road perfectly. Vehicle has power windows, locks, keyless entry, AM/FM CD. The heat and A/C work as they should and the A/C blows super cold. I put 4 used tires on it when I bought it and some chrome hub caps as well as rhino lined the bottom half of the vehicle all the way around. I put a brand new CURT class 3 hitch on as well. When I bought this Jeep the cruise control did not work nor did the passenger side window. Since I was just using this basically as a toy hauler vehicle I haven't addressed those issues. My guess is that the window motor is probably bad and not an expensive fix and the cruise control could be either a fuse or at the most a vacuum line issue as I believe these ran on vacuum for the cruise control. But I'm not 100% sure on either. I have changed the oil only twice since I owned this vehicle just because it's not a daily driver and I've only put about 4k miles on it in the two years that I have owned it. The 4x4 is shift on the go and works perfectly as I did drive it this last winter a couple of times when we had snow. This is not a brand new vehicle as it is 16 years old, but I have had no issues what so ever since I've owned it. I did replace the muffler as it was rusted out and loud but now she just purr's....lol This could make a great everyday driver, winter rig, hunting rig, kid's 1st vehicle...the options are endless. But keep in mind your purchasing a 16 year old vehicle that has definitely been driven. I've tried to describe this vehicle as best I can and I'm only human and probably have left something out so please feel free to ask questions or come and look at this Jeep in person.
