This 1968 GTO is an all original survivor that was in the same family for 35 years. It was purchased by a young man named William Jerse on August 3, 1968. He paid in full for the car on August 5, 1968, both receipts are part of the complete documentation that accompanies the car. Mr. jerse was drafted in the army 3 weeks after buying the car. Sadly, he was killed in Vietnam in May of 1969. His parents kept the car, driving it regularly for 35 years. The car has always been garage kept. Has the numbers matching the driveline. The standard 400 cubic inch motor, auto, power brakes and steering. The interior is original. The paint is the original Verdoro Green that was applied at the factory except for the the passenger door. The engine compartment is the original factory finish that shows its patina from age and use. The trunk is original with Factory spare. All the metal and seams are in original condition. There is a large binder of documentation including Pontiac Historical Services, the orginal purchase agreement, the owners manual, and the Protecto-Plate. The has had the carburetor rebuilt, a new timing chain installed, a new heater core, fuel sending unit, and a new master cylinder. It's a great car that I wouldn't hesitate to drive anywhere.
