I have a friend who is trying to get money together for this, so I reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time. Rare 5 speed manual transmission with 6 cylinder engine. Four wheel drive works great, A/T tires with a lot of life left in them. I have too many cars, and I now have a full size Dodge 4WD truck, so this one is looking for a new home. I think this would make a great platform for a serious off-road build. This is a bone stock, never messed with 4WD Jeep Cherokee XJ. Never trashed or ran hard. This was my Dad's and he bought it used in July of 2000 with almost no miles, and had 4WD installed. I bought from him in 2006, and have maintained it since then. Well maintained. Non smoker, no pets. Normal wear and tear. Service records, recent maintenance and a new windshield. Two extra wheels and a set of Jeep hubcaps. Everything works, A.C. blows cold. Doors all shut nice, seats are comfortable. NO RUST, California car! California Smog Check will be done when deposit is received. Guaranteed to provide Buyer clean Title, Smog Check. Small scrape/dent on rear quarter panel, roof has small deflection from me climbing up there, there are a couple of cracks in the interior plastic moulding. The exterior black plastic trim/flare was recently repainted because it was fading badly, but the paint job on that has some runs and sags. Sometimes the air-conditioner or heater blower changer gets stuck, but frees up. Headliner has a couple of small sags. Driver side rear door lock has always been a little tricky. I can smell coolant sometimes, so there is likely a small leak somewhere, but I haven't bothered to look for it because the radiator remains full all the time. Never overheated or ran dry. Frequent oil changes, and the differentials and transfer case had new fluids last year. I would not hesitate to drive this Jeep across country, off road and back. At the close of auction, I will smog check it when I receive the required deposit. If it fails smog, I will make repairs at my expense so that it passes.
