This dry climate shows in the rust free body. There is no signs of rust or any rust repair. It has been repainted in the correct Moss Green color with a very good paint job that has held up well. The previous owner purchased the car in 2001 with 160,000 miles and had the engine, transmission and brakes gone through. There are receipts documenting the engine rebuild and all work done to the car during the last 14 years. With 168,800 miles on the car it has only traveled 8000 miles since then. I recently had the motor checked by a local Porsche specialty shop with focus on the drivetrain. The compression and leak down test show a strong motor. The Bosch injection system was calibrated at this time. They recommended driving the car as it has sat for numerous years. The transmission is strong with smooth shifts and no jumping out of gears. There are no leaks from under the car. All external lights, driving lights, blinkers, emergency flashers, high beams, engine dome light, luggage, and glovebox lights are working. I have installed new luggage compartment struts, new battery, antenna, fresh oil change. Both power windows work as does the power mirror. The rear defroster appears to be working but it is hard to test this time of year. The fan and heat blow through the respective vents. All gauges, odometer, trip odometer are working properly except oil level. Some money was spent on the aftermarket stereo and it works as it should. The Targa top is in good shape and functions as it was designed. Weather-stripping is good. This 911 Targa is in great shape but there are some issues I would like to point out as I believe honesty helps sell. The front seats will need to be reupholstered, dash is cracked, oil level gauge comes and goes, sun visors are removed but come with the car, carpet on rear seats has stains, horn relay works but no horn, windshield washers for the window and headlights don’t work but holds spray, soft heater tube in the engine compartment will need to be replaced. A/C compressor turns freely but does not work, all parts are still on the car. I do not have any manuals or tools but the jack and spare are present. This 911 Targa is a great driver that would not be out of place at any car show. It needs a little work to be brought to the next level if that is your goal otherwise driven and enjoyed as is without embarrassment. I have it fairly priced based on the condition and documentation. This Porsche is listed locally so auction will end if its locally sold.
