Up for auction is my beautiful Purple and White custom painted Shadow 1100. Owned and maintained by a professional mechanic this bike runs out like a dream. Plenty of power from the stock 1100cc Honda engineered American built V-Twin. Dont knock this motorcycle, it's as American as a Harley Davidson. These old Hondas were built by American factory workers in Marysville, Ohio. This was the last year of the side swept dual exhaust and this example has been flawlessly maintained, the chrome is excellent everywhere. I've always kept it indoors and polished her nicely. When I bought the bike the previous owner had her painted a Custom House-of-kolor pearlescent Purple and White and in the sun, she really pops. At night, she looks black but during the day in the sun its a rich, deep, royal purple. Shaved emblems and really beautiful clearcoat topcoat. Paint has been maintained really well. With 25K original miles, she runs like a swiss watch. Cooling system works great, doesn't run hot (even in NC hot sun) and fans work perfectly. Last April I changed air filter, spark plugs, seal on the water pump (would sweat coolant every so often) along with coolant (Used engine ICE in entire cooling system), flushed the fluid for the front brakes, new tires were done a few years ago and are still perfect, and new battery (YUASA, not cheap). Full saddlemen bag set with custom rear signal mounts, stock bars and controls (cant beat the old Honda style). This bike is an old school classic. Nothing fancy and fuel injected here. This is a classic design from Honda and still holds up as an attractive bike today. Dual cooling-heads and cylinders are deeply finned and also water-jacketed for coolant flow. Front disc brakes, aluminum wheels, low seating position, forward controls. This is the equivalent to a Harley superglide with water cooling THAT YOU CAN ACTUALLY RIDE IN A CITY!. My girlfriend used to love riding this bike because it didn't vibrate as much as my softtail. Smooth shifting 4 speed is geared very tall and allows for effortless cruising at highway speeds around 70-80 mph no problem. This bike has been kept in really nice shape. It's got low miles, and has been well maintained. Motor is quiet and smooth and responsive. I now have 11 motorcycles, (4 of them Hondas) and sadly this one must go. I will miss her dearly as shes a great 2 up rider and solo is a real dream, but I have another shadow 1100 and two 600s. People often discount these machines because they aren't Harleys but keep in mind, this bike was built to outsell and out engineer Harley Davidson and be reliable, dependable and good looking.
