Vehicle Detail

This van runs well and is in excellent shape for its age, it would make a great work van or maybe a camper. With its diesel engine it would be ideal for a biofuel conversion project. All mechanical systems including the exhaust system appear to be in very good shape. The van has a square cross sectional hitch receiver tow bar installed, but no hitch comes with it. It comes with a spare tire, jack, and X-bar lug nut wrench. The diesel engine has always started easily and runs well and that's the most important thing. I spent $900 on it just a few years ago to get it working well, which included a new starter, ignition switch, and fuel pump. I have stored this van for the last few years though because I didn't need it. It has been supported on jack stands so that the tires don't get ruined (I have recently taken it off the jack stands for the pictures), they hold pressure well and three of the five appear to have decent tread (see photos above) whereas the two front tires will need replacement soon. Most of them do have some minor age cracking but I have run much worse tires without problems on cross-country trips between Florida and California on other vehicles so I don't consider these unusable as is. The van is kept in a little trailer park in Bradenton Florida where I stay in the wintertime. I have typically run it several times during each winter stay, and I have always kept fuel preservative in the fuel tank. Downsides: it has some minor rust, some of which has been treated with antirust paint and covered with heavy foil tape in some places like where the roof's drip catcher meets the body (see photos), and it has a few minor shallow dents too, none major. The upholstery of the two front seats is by no means cherry but they're not too bad either, although the driver's seat has what looks like a cigarette burn hole in it. This van has only two significant deficiencies: 1) it needs two new 12V side-terminal batteries (one goes in the engine compartment, one underneath behind the driver's seat) although there are a couple of loaner batteries in it now; 2) the battery holder in the front of the engine compartment is partly rusted out and needs fixing, though it will still support a battery. I have killed several nests of wasps that were on it so far this year and I can't promise I got them all, though I do think they're all gone. The slightly dented left rear bumper is probably one of the reasons for the 'MINOR_ISSUE' in the Autocheck report. The other minor issue in that report might be related to the slight crease at the bottom of the sliding side door, visible in the photos. I have not seen any evidence of damage underneath the vehicle that would be suggestive of any other explanation for the two issues in the Autocheck report, and it drives just fine so it's not like it has a bent frame or anything like that. There is a 120V window air conditioner in the driver's side rear window that I haven't tested lately but my neighbors would like it, so if the van sells for less than $1000 it's coming out for them and I'll cover the hole with plastic, but I do have the glass for that window and it goes with the van in either case. The van is licensed in Florida, the title is clear, and the tag is good thru June. You can see from the photos that the odometer registers a little under 106,000 miles, but I don't know how accurate that is, the title says 123,000 miles were on it in 2007, maybe the instrument panel was changed? I don't know its full history, this van belonged to my father and I inherited it when he passed away. Please arrange to pick up this van within FIVE days after auction close (please ignore the "Full Payment due in 3 days" that Ebay forces one to choose from several options, none of which is '5'). $500 in deposit is required of the winning bidder at close of auction by PayPal, and the remainder must be paid in cash when the vehicle is picked up. Please note this auction may end early as it is also locally being listed. Unfortunately due to people abusing the ebay bidding system, I reserve the right to cancel and block anyone with a poor feedback who places a bid, so if you are new to Ebay with a zero feedback please contact me first before placing a bid. Thank you and good luck, may you be the winner of this fine sturdy Chevy Diesel van! PLEASE NOTE that this auction indicates that this account has zero transactions, which might seem a little sketchy so I thought I'd explain. This is a second account I just opened, and Ebay knows about my other account 'simanonok' which I've had for years and which has an accumulated 225 transactions and 100% positive feedback. If you want to message that account to verify I will reply but I don't have any auctions going on that account so it might not be possible for you to contact me. There are many things on Ebay that are only discoverable through experimentation! On Mar-20-16 at 15:04:57 PDT, seller added the following information: OH CRAP I MADE A MISTAKE! This is not an Astro van but a G20 as a very sharp Ebayer pointed out to me! I will call Ebay to see if they can correct it in the Title of the auction but if they can't I will take their advice about either relisting it or letting this comment suffice, and I will message back everyone who has expressed interest in this van. I am very sorry about this mistake, please accept my apology.
