1989 Ford Bronco II V6 Auto 4WD I bought this new in May / 1989 and used it to commute to train station for a year with trips upstate NY hunting, as a work vehicle from 1990 to 1994, taught my daughter to drive with it in 2008, she drove it locally to work and school until 2011. I have had a company vehicle form 1995 to present, along with other personal vehicles. This truck was never driven through salt water, but I do live about a mile from the south shore bay. It has been driven through countless streams and up and down mountains and I have lost count how many deer were hauled to the butcher with it. It has served me well but time to go. Every option in the vehicle functions as new and everything is complete as purchased. There is severe surface rust underneath and nothing is rusted through. Water is leaking through the windshield which was replaced a few years ago. All mechanical work has been done by me or my mechanic brother. I have a well worn Haynes manual for it, along with most inspection receipts showing it is one of the cleanest burning engines ever. Have original manuals. I have the title with the original lien from Ford Motor Credit and the Lien Release form from Ford Motor credit that is needed to apply for a clear title. Trucks gets 22 mpg on the road. All indicators work and you can see in one of the photos with the engine running and warmed up that voltage and oil pressure are normal. Pros Tires have less than 5000 miles on them along with complete brake job with new drums, rotors, and front wheel bearings repacked. All within 5000 miles: new radiator, water pump, temperature sensor, exhaust system. All within this past year: new alternator, complete new tie rods with wheel alignment after. All brake lines have been replaced within the last few years. Vehicle has a Motorola Blue Tooth Hands free kit installed. Vehicle has a Remote start and remote keyless entry interfaced to the power door locks Vehicle has cruise, tilt, power windows, power door locks, am/fm original radio Original aluminum wheels with wheel locks. Spare is original with plain road wheel and has been used three times in 27 years. Still solid. Original jack and jack handle installed in original locations. AC unit was converted to new style freon with new style valves and works great. Usually have to top it off with freon every 2 years. Worked great end of last summer. All interior intact except for headliner which is bubbling from water intrusion. Hella fog lights 4WD works great with auto locking and unlocking hubs - never ever been stuck in snow or mountain trails. Cons Rusted areas of quarter panels both sides in front of rear wheels, bottom edge of drivers door, front edge of hood, along drip rails of roof, right front corner of roof, entire windshield area where it meets the roof, severe surface rust underneath chassis. Rear leave springs need new bushings all around.....the rubber is all shot. Water is leaking more and more now around windshield that started when windshield was replaced. Glass company was called back to reseal but that seemed temporary. this water is causing the headliner to bubble away from the backing in spots. Windshield has 2 cracks in upper left corner less than 6 inches which start and end at up edge of glass and do not go into normal view area. Silver paint is chipping from primer ins areas shown. Red paint shines nicely when waxed.
