1988 HONDA FOURTRAX TRX250R

Up for auction is a Showroom Mint ORIGINAL 1988 Fourtrax TRX250R. I have a been involved in atv's for most of my life and have a nice collection that I have decided to thin it out! This 88 "R" has been the best I have owned by far and even seen! I got lucky to add this beauty to my collection years ago and got it from the ORIGINAL owner that was now in his fiftys! Told me he purchased it brand new in 88( I have all doc's) rode it one summer, hurt himself and never rode it again!! lol Now im thinking it has max 20 hours use from new! (who knows maybe only 5-10 hours I cant say for sure 100% ) There is not much wear on any of the original paint and looks like zero miles on the original tires! It has NOT been RESTORED and what you see is all original almost 30 years old! Now I had to redo the paint on the a-arms and front bumper to oem specs (the light rust spots on them drove me crazy from being 29 years old lol ) The plastics shine nice with no spider cracks anywhere! The tires are not dry rotted and the rubber nipples and extra rubber down the center proves the low use! Also correct date stamped rims! Motor has never ever been opened up! It had a set of vintage DG steel series nerf bars on it that did scratch the frame paint in a few spots that I removed (I will include them in the sale) and of course there is minor scratches on the plastics and some "patina" here and there to be expected for 30 years of sitting, but this is as nice of an original 1988 250R you will see around!! The most AMAZING thing is I have every piece of original documation that will go with the purchase including Original bill of sale, 2 keys, Certificate Of Origin, owners manual, owners supplement manual, safe ride guide, handlebar tag, owners ID card, extra jets with instruction page never opened that was given at purchase ect... This atv would be a great piece for a first time collector or add to your collection now! (you better not be purchasing as a rider!! or ill sell you another 88 I have you can ride lol) These 88s are in "my opinion" anyway, the nicest and most desirable of all the 4 years of the Honda trx250rs!! and will always be going up in value! (I have a nice light restored 89 trx250R I will be posting soon as well) Im located in the Detroit MI area and willing to travel up to 250-300 miles to meet up with anyone that purchases this quad! (because gas is cheep now and im up for a road trip lol) for no additional charge too! However Im also willing to put on a pallet and ship anywhere but you arrange the shipping and pay all the charges! If your in Canada let me know I can arrange easy shipping there as well. I do want to sell and I have a very LOW RESERVE price (mainly to protect myself from giving it away) considering how rare and valuable this machine is.
