Offering at no reserve is a getting hard to find 1939 ford pickup with 1940 sheet metal. Ebayers have contacted me and said it should have buggy style springs in that era. So is probably a later than 1939 frame even though the numbers used from this frame and titled as a 1939. This is titled off of the frame numbers but the previous owner was going to put 1940 sheet metal on it. He found out that 40 sheet metal is not designed to bolt to the 39 frame at the front and that is where it was left for many years. The front clip fits the cab but the front cross member does not match for mounting it to the frame. This is a farm find. Had house paint on it that was super thick and cracked/flaking and peeling off. We removed most of it to see what condition it was in and then sprayed a very light coat of primer on it to keep the rust to a minimum. Has some lower rust in the cab corners,lower bed sides, lower front fenders and floor boards and bed need to be replaced. Running boards are rough and have rust. Doors open,close and latch solid. Missing the motor and transmission. It is a roller and appears to be original front and rear suspension. Small dents all over it as is typical with a well used farm truck. Still has a lot of metal to work with and is very buildable. The head light assemblies are missing and window regulators and other items. If you do not see it in the pictures it is not there! It actually is not too bad but I just want people to know that it is over 80 years old and well used in its life. THIS IS A PROJECT PICKUP NEEDING FULL RESTORATION OF ALL COMPONENTS. ALSO IS MISSING SOME ITEMS INCLUDING THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION. Selling with intention of needing full restoration of all components. I can deliver within a 400 mile radius for $500.00. .
