Up for auction is a 2005 1200GS - ABS in excellent condition. It is fitted with Olins shocks, crash protection and an off road skid plate. I'm the second owner and have used the bike as it was designed to be used. Accordingly, the protection has some scuffs and abrasions. The body and frame are entirely undamaged as all spills were low or no speed tip overs in dirt and gravel. See photos for an accurate representation of the motorcycle for sale. All service has been done on time, including the recent 24K service at BMW of Las Vegas. There are no operating issues. The main seal will have to be replaced at some point down the line. No one can say when. At the present time the clutch works as it should. This bike has always been a very smooth shifter. It runs and rides like a new machine. Periodically, the starter switch balks and requires some jiggling. It has never failed to start, but the new buyer may want to replace it. I am loath to sell the bike because it is so much fun to ride, but the fact is at nearly 70 years of age I want to be able to put both feet flat on the ground and I cannot with tall adventure bikes. Life isn't fair, is it? There is a custom rack on the back to accommodate a Bromption folding bike (see photos). THE BROMPTON is not part of this sale. The OEM rack is included. The rubber is new. The Jesse side cases (over $1200 new) are included. The discolorations visible on the cases are not scratches, but a result of improper powder coating by Jesse, a cosmetic issue only. The RAM MOUNTS visible in some photos ARE NOT PART OF THIS SALE and will be removed prior to ownership transfer. If you are looking for a nice GS but don't want to mortgage your house, buy this one. It has a Sargent seat. Stock seat comes with the bike. It has handlebar risers for a more comfortable, upright seating position. It doesn't have a center stand. I removed it for installation of the Jesse bags. (The silencer had to be re-positioned). It needs nothing aside from the issues mentioned.
