For sale is my 1979 blast from the past Ford Ranchero that would make an excellent restoration project or daily driver. I have the clean title in hand, no salvage, rebuilt, or lein stories here. The car has the 351 cubic inch motor (5.8L V8) mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission. The car itself only has 38,748 original miles on the motor and transmission- all of which are original from the factory. I am selling this as I am heading off to business school and will not be able to take this piece of nostalgia with me. The engine starts every time in cold or hot weather and sounds to be very healthy for the Ranchero family. The transmission shifts as it should- smooth as glass. As you can see from the exterior it will need a paint job at some time. There is rust around the car in certain places that I have tried my best to make sure is pictured. The tires have lots of life left in them and all are matching (pictured).The interior is in great shape for the year and mileage with only the original radio missing. All gauges work with the exception of the Oil and RPM gauge. All lights work on the interior and exterior as they should. I traveled from Columbia to Kirksville (roughly 120 miles) with no issues, no overheating, no stories. This is NOT my daily driver, however I start and drive the vehicle once a week in order to ensure the engine is warmed up, taken onto the highway and allowed to breath and "stretch out". All in all this is a great representation of a restoration car that has a lot of potential, and can still be driven while the restoration process is in play!
