Today I am listing this gorgeous 1968 Firebird 400 for a friend of mine. He has no experience with Ebay though he has owned many beautiful cars so and I am helping him. He bought this car 7 years ago in Nevada, fully rebuilt in great condition. This car has been completely restored to be an every day driver, not a garage queen. It has been finished in black, black interior with steel and chrome details that contrast beautifully and make the rich, black paint shine. It looks stunning close-up, and from far away. This dark black Firebird is the most masculine looking classic American muscle car I have ever seen. This car has only been parked inside, there is no rust on it at all, and the frame is laser straight. There are only very minor scratches from 7 years of careful use. The interior is gorgeous as well. The carpets are clean, no rips or tears in the seats, and even the dashboard is perfect, headliner and door panels are also in great shape. Everything in the interior is original except the stereo and the shifter handle. The stereo has been upgraded with a phenomenal sound system including an iPod connection in the center console with remote, and a Viper Alarm with remote door-locks. The shifter handle was replaced with a heavy-lead skull, molded & designed custom by a very talented artist. I uploaded a close-up picture, and it can be seen in most of the interior shots as well. The tires and wheels are also new as the many pictures show. This is not your average 48 year old Firebird, this car gets a ton of attention. But, the best thing is the way it drives. The engine on this car is incredible and was built to run. It is the original 400 engine and was fully rebuilt, now with less than 12,000 miles on it. It starts on a dime and it has this loud, smooth, deep rumble. This car drives like a solid rocket at 100mph and the disc brakes can stop it as they should. It has lots of power and sounds like a beast, but with power steering is still manageable like a newer car. There are no leaks or any kind of weird noises, just hop in and drive. I would not hesitate to drive across country in this car at a moments notice. I uploaded extra pictures. Please look at them carefully as they speak for the car much better than I can. Almost all have been taken within the last week by me, so what you see is exactly what you will get. At the end I’ve included a short video showing the car starting to let you hear the engine. This is not an inexpensive Firebird, as you will find, but there has been a lot of care, time and money invested in it - beyond the "buy it now" price of this auction - to get this car into its excellent condition. All work is verifiable and was done at the same shop for the last 7 years.This car will come with: a steering wheel lock and key, car jack, all stereo components with iPod connection and remote, a fitted fifth wheel and tire, extra door knobs and other small items. Seller will retain the custom plates. I would prefer to sell this car locally to someone who could actually come out and see it, but I would also help with shipping arrangements or an airport pick up for an out of town buyer (all shipping charges to be paid by the buyer, of course).
