This is a very clean and well-maintained car. Two owners. I have owned it since 1985. The body is in great shape. The paint is in excellent condition having been personally washed frequently and waxed every one or two years. The motor oil has been changed every 2,500 or 3,000 miles. It has only been driven in Northern California in Contra Costa and Sonoma counties (SF Bay Area) mainly in connection with real estate marketing and sales. It has been garaged when not in use. There is no rust on the vehicle. It starts and runs perfectly. All routine service requirements have been met. A new genuine Mercedes-Benz diesel engine was installed in 1996 when the vehicle had 168,934 miles on it. The current engine has about 121,000 miles on it. Service booklets are available. There are two small oil leaks which have been present for years. The following systems are inoperative: the vanity light on the driver's side sun visor, rotary clock, the cruise control (never worked), and the air-conditioner. The latter was repaired by the local Mercedes dealer in 2008 (new compressor and dryer) and it probably needs a recharge. There are five small cracks in the top of the instrument panel and there are about 4 surface cracks in the wood or varnish in the console by the gear shift lever. There are tears in the driver's and front passenger's seats (shown in the photo). The rear seats are in excellent condition showing little if any wear.
