Vehicle Detail

1955 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 door hardtop PROJECT PROJECT PROJECT! My intent was to just make a mean old school hot rod out of this diamond in the rough. But, I have too many projects and this one is the next to go. Body and interior are just as I bought it yet at this point. I bought it as a roller, and have installed the current drivetrain. Can contact me for a price as a roller only, I will sell it less engine/trans/driveshaft/exhaust. It is running/driving/stopping, but is nowhere near roadworthy yet. It is only basic wired at this point to run. Needs all lighting wiring and accessory wiring looked over and/or redone yet. Snappy 283 with just a couple thousand on a rebuild - bit of a cam, new headers, older Corvette heads and intake if I remember right, polished Holley 4 bbl. It could use final precise tuning yet, but is running real good. Saginaw 3 speed with new shifter, stock open 55 rear end(think it's 3.55), custom made dual straight pipe exhaust. Has new master cylinder, new rear wheel cylinders and many new brake lines - I have not looked at the front brakes yet. New fuel tank and sending unit and new aluminum radiator. Needs serious floor work as it is rusted out in many areas - floor pans are rusty, rockers are shot, most braces are cancer ridden, etc. Best bet would be to do a complete one piece floor pan with braces and inner rockers. Driver's door glass is busted up a bit and not good. There is a replacement door glass for this that you can see in the pic of the back seat. Each quarter glass has a crack of some sort in each one. DID I MENTION THIS IS A PROJECT?! Body was made over before many many years ago and painted blue as you see it(originally appears to have been a coral color). All of the outer stainless trim is there and included. Previous owner said it was drag raced back in the 60's with a BBC - he found it out in a shed in WI a few years back. Right now the lower rear quarters and outer rocker skins that are in primer are just riveted in place for now. Rear wheel well radiusing is just rough cut now. FRONT SEATS ARE NOT PART OF THE SALE AND DO NOT GO WITH. I have a similar pair of buckets from a 68 Firebird that winner can have if wanted, not in great shape but useable. Rear seat is out of a 60's pontiac and looks and fits in there great! 15X10 Aluminum slots with used Mickey Thompson Sportsman's on the rear, and new chrome reverse with used radials on the front. ****The very last pic shows old rear chrome reverse and front torque thrusts that I will put on for a discount off final buying price if reserve is met**** One pic shows an odd hole on the top of the left quarter panel next to the decklid seam, with a metal patch riveted over it. The next pic is a section I cut from a donor car to graft in that area. The shock mount area was cut out of the inner trunk floor, and a steel bar was welded across the opening that the shocks are bolted to. One of the pics shows an original shock mount section replacement from a donor car that can be welded back in. Both front fenders had replacement eyebrows riveted in place many years ago(see pic of that, too). YES, IT IS A PROJECT! ****I will sell as a roller, less engine/trans/driveshaft/exhaust as well - contact me for price on that**** Clear title in my name, but it is BONDED as previous owner could not locate the original title. Matching door tag is still intact. The pics tell it all, this is a GREAT PROJECT that has a ton of potential. Please ask all questions before bidding. Can't mention it all, and I am sure I am forgetting something. I will post most Q & A for all to see. $500 PAYPAL DEPOSIT DUE WITHIN 48 HRS. BALANCE DUE WITHIN 7 DAYS OF AUCTION END. Zero feedback will be deleted from the auction if not contacted prior to bidding. Shipping arrangements are the responsibility of the winning bidder. On Feb-07-16 at 20:53:21 PST, seller added the following information: ****I HAVE DECIDED THAT I WILL JUST LET THE AUCTION RUN IT'S COURSE AND THE OFFER OF SELLING AS A ROLLER ONLY WILL STAND IF THE RESERVE IS NOT MET. UNFORTUNATELY I CANNOT EDIT THE ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION NOW. THANK YOU****
