Selling for father in law. This is a 1972 Mercedes SL 350 4.5 L, Automatic, short bumper, hard and soft top. I'll tell you what I can. This is a very solid car for being 43 years old. There is no rust though at all. Only rust found is very little surface rust under back carpet. It had a repaint sometime in its life before 1991. Car still looks very good with some very little paint peeling and chips.Some work will be needed. Running a little ruff at this time.Needs service, oil change and tune up. Fuel pump looks to have a small leak will need replacing. Has a puff of smoke when first start may be valve seals. Couple very small oil leaks underneath. Temperature gauge not working and digits on odometer not working showing 110.000 Dad said should be about 112,000. Priced to sale.An reasonable offer will be considered. I will not give this car away. These car prices are rising. At the price this car is listed for there are still a lot of meat on the bone. I feel that this car is wreath every penny of our selling price. We don't have to sell this car and will not sell it at a parts car price. Even with the work that is needed.
