Vehicle Detail
Hello to all Ebayers! I have been with EBay for several years and I want to keep my reputation with EBay at 100%. I bought this rare 4 door convertible with the intention of bringing it to California to add to my collection but i bought a Cadillac Convertible which is what I was looking for so this one is for sale. I have a Connecticut Registration with a bill of sale that that will be mailed to the buyer. Connecticut doesn't issue a title for cars over 25 years old which is why we have a Registration instead of a Title. The last 3 pictures are of the paperwork. This car is registered until March 19, 2016. This Buick Special is located in a Copart facility in New Britain, Connecticut. I tried to sell it on Copart but this car is a classic clean vehicle and they have a salvage yard and it's not the best place to sell this vehicle there. It was in their indoor facility for the last couple of months. I have a couple of weeks to move it from this facility. PRICED TO SELL !!! Here is the description I have from the previous owner: "1940 Buick Model 41C, Special, Convertible Sedan, 8 Cylinder, 121 Wheelbase sidemounts with covers, runs good, starts right up, the car did had some rust repair a few years ago on the floors and it looks decent. It is a car you can use and keep improving, parts are readily available. The top was folded for a period of time, the wrinkles will smooth out when wetted and allowed to dry in the sun. All the chromes are very presentable and the front bumper can be shined up with steel wool. This Buick is very Original inside and out and it's in great condition for its age. " This is a very rare car with a very low production. As you can see the last few pictures, all the glasses are there and they roll up nice. I already priced this low for a quick sale. Send me a reasonable offer and I will consider it. I did some research and found out that only 552 1940 convertibles were produced. You can do your own research. This vehicle is Priced to Sell!!! This is your chance to own this Buick Special for a very reasonable price. If you want to talk to me email me a phone number through Ebay and I will call you or you can ask your questions through Ebay. I want to make sure that you are satisfied with your purchase. Please bid with confidence and if you have any questions that I might not have covered in the description, please don’t hesitate to ask. You can email me or send me your phone number and I will give you a call. I will help arrange shipping. You can try United Auto Transport for shipping. They’re a very reliable company. Call 800-963-5505 to receive a quote for transport. I’m able to store it for two weeks after purchase is made if you need time lining it up. After 2 weeks the storage facility will charge a daily storage fee. This vehicle is advertised on other sites so I have the right to end the auction if the vehicle gets sold. Keep in mind she’s over 70 years old. I’m not a dealer, just passionate about classic cars and trucks. Please be ready to buy when you click. A non refundable $500 deposit is due at purchase and final payment within 7 days. Balance is to be paid by bank wire or a certified bank cashier’s check. Check will need to clear before the vehicle will be released and title is sent. The winning bidder needs to contact me within 24 hours of auction end to make payment arrangements. Please arrange all financing prior to bidding. If you are not sure about something please ask! Do not assume anything. All non-paying high bidders will be reported to EBay. General Information: People have different opinions and expectations of old cars. It is your responsibility to inspect the vehicle or send a third party inspector for your satisfaction. Remember this is a 76 year old truck and can have some imperfections that are not in the description that I am not aware of. As with most pre-owned vehicles, minor wear may be discernible and degree of wear is often related to age of the vehicle such as but not limited to: scuffs, scratches, dings, dents, fading, paintwork, minor rock chips, and other imperfections. If you are buying and paying for this vehicle you are 100% satisfied. This is your chance to own this great classic.
