Vehicle Detail

1970 Dodge Charger R/T XS29UOG Consider this a driver project type of carMost things could use some improvements I drove this car all summer Has new dual exhaust New gas tank, sender and gas lines New rubber bushings in front suspension New rear tires (has good front tires) New black carpet New headliner New windshield New brake flex linesNew heater core (needs to be installed)Needs a new speedometer cable (white clip that goes on speedometer is broken)Gas gauge works (reads high) Alt gauge works, water temp gauge pegs over so un hooked(put new sender on motor but still does this)Oil pressure never got it hooked up yet You can drive this car the way it is and work on little things or take it all apart and return it to the original lime green FJ5 colour Only 394 1970 R/T Chargers were ever built this colour so how many are left today ?? Odds are pretty good you will not see another one This car came to Canada in 2008 from Texas It sat in the Toronto area until 2013 when I bought it still with the Texas title I am the first registered Ontario owner of this car The body work and paint on the car is how I bought it The car had a 1973 440/727 motor and transmission in it when I arrived and it still runs good The car had parts of the original white interior still in it but I have switched it over to black Front seats have no rips and are out of a 70 71 Challenger or Cuda I have a pair of black 70 Charger buckets available but will need recovering Will only sell one set of seats with this car (need the other set for my project car) All the floor pans are still original and the frame is in great original shape also Trunk pan has a couple of patches in it so either live with them or install a new trunk pan when you get to it Car still has the factory 4 wheel power drum brakes, power steeringTrue mileage unknown as there was no dash cluster in the car when I got it but I had to fill in a number to make the ad postingCar sold as is where isAsk any questions before you bidBidders are encouraged to see the car in person before making a bidCar is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any timeA non refundable deposit of $500 through paypal is required from winning bidder within 24 hours of end of auctionBalance due with in 7 daysCar can be stored for up to 30 days free of charge while shipping is being arranged and $5 per day after that timeWill not ship but can help load On 26-Jan-16 at 08:59:50 EST, seller added the following information: Lets be 100% clear on this If you want a $75000 car this is not it If you want to build it into a $75000 car you should plan on changing both 1/4 panels , filler between trunk lid and back glass, trunk floor, rear valence and lower corner caps Now if you are looking for a cool car to drive around in without having to worry about someone breathing on it every time you park when you go to the store and want something out in the garage to tinker on this may be the car you are looking for On 28-Jan-16 at 19:13:03 EST, seller added the following information: I got this email from the guy that administers the 1970 Dodge Charger Registry web siteSo I thought I would ad this info(Do a search for the registry as ebay will not let me post a link) Saw your car on EBAY. Sad to see you selling it but thought I'd chime in....I think you are under selling it in the description. I think many will be looking at the car not for what it is today but what it could be if restored. I would play up the fact (as you have noted) that the car is the rare factory FJ5 High Impact Sublime paint. Additionally around 85% of 70 R/Ts came with a vinyl top so you should play up the fact it is a FJ5 hardtop which is even rarer. Likely only around 60 were ever built. A factory FJ5 hardtop R/T with a white interior is a fantastic combination and would be an amazing show winner once restored. I would also play up that this is a factory J45 hood pin car and it came with an 8 track AM Radio option R22. If you want you can note that it is the only FJ5 hardtop R/T 440-4 white interior hood pin 8 track radio car registered in the 70 Charger Registry out of almost 3,300 70 Chargers registeredOn 31-Jan-16 at 10:13:17 EST, seller added the following information: On Monday I will not be available to answer any questions till very late in the day
