The E.G Autokraft Arrow Daytona was unusual because the body was already mounted to a custom chassis and not a butchered donor car. E.G. Autokraft was the work of Emilio Garcia and Peter Jacobs. Emilio had been turning berlinetta Daytonas into spyders for years so it was a logical step for him to engineer a replica. E.G Autokraft was in a different league from all the other companies building replica Daytonas. Fer@ri sued most kit car companies to stop production, so the expense to produce this kit today would be immense and costly. This Replica is simply the BEST of the BEST and the closest you could possibly come to having an Original Daytona Spyder at a fraction of the price. Vintage Ferrari prices are currently sky-rocketing, Ironically the Arrow Daytona Spyder replica is rarer than the real thing so this is an excellent investment. Fer@ri made just 122 Daytona Spyders (of which a mere 7 were RHD) versus 1,284 Berlinettas. The recent sale in August 2014 of a Spyder was for $2,640,000 (c.£1,582,000) not only underlines the model's desirability but also explains why numerous Berlinettas were converted by the likes of E.G. Autokraft (UK), Auto Sport (Italy), Michael Sheehan's European Auto Restoration (USA) and the Richard Straman Company (USA). Emilio Garcia - the E.G. of E.G. Autokraft (and later PKA/Arrow) - went further than his contemporaries by creating the most dimensionally accurate Daytona Spyder Evocations ever made. Molded from one of his reconfigured Berlinettas and underpinned by a bespoke tubular chassis, the resultant two seaters wore composite bodywork courtesy of Peter Jacobs (who clothed the Ford RS200 rally cars). Garcia is believed to have been responsible for circa 80 Daytona Spyder Evocations in total. Commissioned by Carl Patrick Nicholson. This beautiful example is finished in a striking traditional Rosso Red exterior with a very accurate Black Daytona style interior, incorporating Daytona style seats & door panels with inserts. Features Daytona style front corner lenses, tail lights, pop-up headlamps, grill, chrome bumpers, toggle switches, Nardi style steering wheel, Ansa exhaust, Original Badges (not China). This awesome Daytona Powered by a 1988 Fuel Injected Jaguar V12 5.3-litre engine with auto transmission. Also features power windows, alarm, New battery, engine oil, transmission fluid, coolant, fuel filter, fuel pump. Convt top rear window needs replacement & right latch is broken, radio is not working & tune-up is suggested.
