Up for auction: 2004 F250 Super Duty XLT 6.0 V8 Diesel. Standard XLT equipment with push-button 4x4 and FX4 package. This truck has 185k miles and was rarely used for pulling. Typically Ford rust on wheel wells and extended cab doors. Scratches and dings typical for age throughout but nothing awful. Interior is fairly clean but drivers seat has a hole from wear (see photos). Truck was running great and driven regularly until a few weeks ago when I noticed it running rough accompanied by a check engine light. I took it to a reputable diesel shop that diagnosed heavy injector stiction on all cylinders - recommending replacement ASAP. Also diagnosed failure of ICP sensor and harness. Also noticed bleed off at degas bottle cap pointing to EGR issue or possibly even head gasket issue. They could not diagnose further without replacing the sensor and injectors. At this time, I have chose to replace the truck with something smaller to suit my needs, therefore I will not repairing this truck. I do not recommend this as an amateur or father-son project. As we all know, these are very expensive motors to work on and the repairs listed are quite serious. Aside from the motor, the rest of the truck rides and operates nicely. Transmission shifts smooth as does 4x4. All electrical working fine. In the last 20,000 miles, truck has had new turbo, HPOP, 2 interstate batteries, and complete fluid & lubricant flush. Clean title in hand. ****PLEASE NOTE**** This truck is able to drive onto a flatbed trailer for hauling and does not need winched. However, per the mechanic, it IS NOT recommended to drive this truck for any distance or count on reliability with these failing issues.
