1994 Mercedes-Benz SL 500. ONLY 54,524 original miles! Absolutely beautiful condition in and out. Color is Polar White with Gray leather interior, matching White hardtop and contrasting Black soft top. Always covered & garaged! Pampered by only 3 meticulous owners, the last of which is my Mother-in-Law. She is no longer able to drive so sadly it’s time for this one to be “re-homed”. This is an amazing car in very well preserved condition. It is super clean from top to bottom and has been professionally maintained, both mechanically and cosmetically. Mechanical: Nothing has been modified in any way. It has just been through a complete and rigorous service and detail – sparing no expense to bring everything up to date and ready for reliable, safe daily use. The 5.0 liter fuel-injected V-8 provides smooth and abundant power. It is very much a driver's car, and feels tightly connected to the road while delivering smooth travel in town or on the freeway. This car runs and drives flawlessly, and the low mileage and professional maintenance are evident from the onset - the engine fires to life instantly with a smooth and quiet idle, and maintains proper engine temperature in city or highway driving. The engine accessories turn quietly and work well, with the AC compressor keeping the inside very cool and the alternator keeping the battery well charged. The engine bay is 100% intact and has just had a light detailing. Car passes strict California emissions testing with flying colors! Everything needed to achieve its mechanical peak has been done including, but not limited to: Oil and transmission fluid change, all lines, hoses and gaskets, valve cover gaskets, completely new A/C system (blows ICE cold!), all fluids checked and topped off as needed, the chassis and hinges were freshly lubricated, and the lamps, warning lights and interior illumination tested. The undercarriage remains remarkably clean down to the creases and crevices due to never being driven in winter conditions. The steering is tight and smooth and the suspension is in excellent shape handling bumpy roads with ease and rounding corners with no roll or sway. The brakes/rotors/sensors are at least 75% all around so the four-wheel ABS discs stop the car confidently and in a straight line. The transmission is smooth and clean through the gears. It has factory alloy rims mounted with a new matching set of Continental ExtremeContact DW radials in the correct size (P225/55R/16) and provide an amazing ride; and the car tracks down the road straight and smooth at any speed. It's difficult to find a car of this vintage that feels so tight to drive. Exterior: The original paint on this garage-kept beauty is in spectacular condition and shines brilliantly. NO accidents or damage of any kind! That said, it is not perfect. Perfection is nearly impossible to attain but this one is remarkable for a 1994 model. Over the years there have been a handful of very minor flaws as would be expected in a car of this vintage (such as tiny chips from road debris, etc.), but they have always been corrected professionally. Incredibly, there are no door dings or scratches to speak of and NO scuffs or rashes on the corners, bumpers, or valances in any way! The original Black soft top is in near if not perfect condition with no holes, tears, or fading. The front light surrounds are clear and free of any sun-fading as would be expected from being garaged/covered, and the glass and weather-stripping is factory fresh all around. The gentle care and light use it was given are evident. There is no corrosion or rust of any kind to be found on this car and the underside is clean and wholly preserved. Interior: The interior is very crisp and new-looking, with beautiful leather seats, steering wheel, and shift knob that show extremely little wear. Never any kids or food!! The dashboard is smooth, clean, and entirely without cracks or fading, and the switches and controls were used with gentle touch. Door panels and door pulls are perfect. All of the wood panels are in perfect condition with absolutely no cracks. Carpet and factory floor mats are fresh and clean with no fading or stains. The carpeted cargo area is immaculate and is complete with all (never removed) factory tools and original unused spare. The hardtop headliner has just been replaced with NOS due to sagging in a couple of small areas. This car had an original MSRP of $83,190.00 in 1994!!! We are obviously selling for a lot less than thatJ. If you are looking for a spectacular Mercedes roadster for use as an occasional or daily driver, this would be an excellent choice. These are very hard to come by with such low mileage. They are appreciating classics and provide proven longevity and high performance while delivering world class luxury, safety, and style. This one feels solid, quiet and tight at highway speeds as a fine luxury car should, and is a joy to drive around town.
