An Estate 1987 Mercedes-Benz , 560SL, convertible/roadster, low miles, 5.6 L V-8 multi-point fuel injection, automatic climate control. Has been parked under cover since 12/2004 because of damage to the drivers side, the car was driven about 1,000 miles back to home after it was damaged and has been parked since. Recently the fuel was replaced, and the car started right up. The air cleaner (see Photo) has 475 HP on it but I do not know why. The soft top of the convertible seems to by in nice shape, but am unable to lock it down because of a misaligned left wind shield post. I will let the photos tell the story, not being an auto-body technician, plus being in a rural area, and the MB dealer being in another state, leaves me unable to estimate what is needed. On the top of both front fenders are two spots of clear silicon, that may rub off, The drivers side fender and the inner fender will need replaced . The foot well is damaged. The replacement door is kinked on the front edge. The original grey interior door panel along with assorted chrome pieces are in the trunk. There is a dent in the lower bottom rear panel where the door meets, and dimpling around the door striker. There is a dimple in the rail in the bottom of the door frame along with some cut wires that seems to be causing a battery drain. Missing a molding strips on the both sides and there is a black spot on the air dam . The spare tire rim is in good shape, but the four on the car need resurfaced, tires on the car are good. There is some minor surface rust. The air bag looks to be intact, but now the SRS light glows. The front window pillar is pushed in at the top and has creased the dash and popped the center panel out of line, which throws the shiftier off a bit. I did some short test runs with the convertible, up to 60 MPH, but have not taken it out on the highway. It seems to scoot right down the road, the odometer/speedometer works along with the other gauges. AS/Is Where is. Look carefully at photos they are an essential part of the description.
