Vehicle Detail
1980 Corvette 4-speed with T-tops. We are thinning our herd and with winter here, there is nowhere to store the vette for the season. Have owned since summer of 2014. Was bought as a gift to me from my husband. We have 15 vehicles and do not have the time to maintain everything we currently own, nor a facility large enough to house everything during the Vermont winter. PLEASE NOTE - MILEAGE ON CAR ODOMETER IS SHOWN IN KILOMETERS, NOT MILES. Mileage converts to 61,467 MILES. As far as we know, car is all original. Interior, paint, rims, T-tops and engine/drivetrain. The only modifications we are aware of is the Edelbrock Performer intake, Magnaflow mufflers w/stock style tips. Husband just replaced the starter with a hi-torque mini starter from Summit. Tires are like new with 90% tread. T-tops are mirrored. Bags are OE and go with car. Overall for its age, the car is in excellent shape. All glass is intact. Car runs and drives very well. All lights work - headlights go up and down without assistance. Tranny is solid. Windshield wipers work and emergency brake is strong. New leather shifter boot - original one was cracked and dry rotted when purchased. As with some older vehicles, it has its rattles and squeaks. There is a slow drain somewhere that causes the battery to drain over time, so I typically disconnect the negative battery cable after driving. Was informed by our mechanic at time of inspection that lower ball joints need to be replaced. I have driven the car very little due to time restraints, and recently noticed a bit of a noise with the steering. Not the power steering pump, but a noise when turning the vehicle. Unsure of what this is, but I do wish to disclose all I know about the vehicle. Still, aside from the ball joints, I would not hesitate to hop in and drive anywhere. Vehicle has always been dependable and was only driven for pleasure. My daughter enjoyed going to get ice cream in the car. I would welcome anyone to come see the car in person and ask any questions you may have. I will answer them to the best of my ability. I am open to sending additional photos if you have an area of concern. Vehicle can be picked up and driven or buyer can arrange shipping at his/her cost. I am aware that the C3's are gaining popularity and appreciating in value. This would make an excellent collectible car for someone, especially considering the degree of originality the car still possesses. Perfect for the Corvette "purist." Vehicle is for sale locally. I reserve the right to cancel bids and sell locally. There will be no reserve on this vehicle. PLEASE - I WELCOME you to come look at this car before bidding. Please also note I have filtered criteria for bidders. Vehicle is for sale as/is where is, no warranty implied. Also note that in the state of Vermont, vehicles that are over 15 years old do not require a title. Proper paperwork and signed registration go to winning bidder to be titled in your state. Title on this vehicle is clear with no liens. Thanks for looking and feel free to contact me with any questions you have. Deposit via PayPal is required. Remaining balance due in cash or with cashier's check. Please note: vehicle will not be released to winning bidder if payment option is a cashier's check until my bank has notified me it has cleared and cannot be rescinded. Additionally, where photos of car are concerned - it was beginning to snow as we were photographing car - you will notice white spots/streaks that the camera picked up - please note this is snow. If you have questions or concerns, please ask.
