Vehicle Detail
1980 Chevrolet Corvette L 48. Red, Black interior, glass T-Tops. Resided in California from 1980 until 1 year ago. If you know about the 70's, 80's only 305 cu in. engines were allowed in corvettes purchased in California at that time. The original owner ordered this 350 cu in. Corvette from the factory and picked up car in Michigan and brought back to California. Lots of work has been completed for you. New engine and engine accessories - crate motor 350, tweaked cam for 50 additional HP, all work completed by the local classic corvette experts here in Atlanta. New- er interior re-do, seats covered, carpet, dash components, tires, exhaust, transmission (4 speed - automatic). Radio is about 4 years old and accepts aux sound input from I phone/ other. Was California legal until guys that replaced the motor removed the California legal catalytic converter - since not required for older cars in Georgia. Look in Eckler's for replacement converter if you are from California. AC works - all things work - except cruise control. Vacuum operated hidden headlights work. Car gets lots of positive attention from fans of classic vettes - and those that don't even know what kind of car it is. Paint is less than 10 years old and has typical dings/ scratches. Front bumper was bumped in the parking lot causing cracking on the point of the nose. Antennae base is cracked from a car wash. Mileage reads 71000 on odometer - but I do not believe this is correct (believed to be beyond the limits of the odometer which flips at 100,000. The mileage read 62,000 when I purchased in 2012. This is a very good car, daily driver, fun to drive - a great drivable classic for a good price now. Prices will climb on these era corvettes in the future going by what has happened with all the others. I'll try to get some more photos in soon.
