It may seem like I am trying to talk you out of this in my description, but I am just being honest. I have had this truck for over 13 years. She has gotten me through major storms and has been my back up vehicle for many years. Our drive way is filling up, so Black Betty must go! I am a female, so my description, may sound funny to you gear heads, but here goes..... I will give you all of my repair bills, so you see what has been done. It runs and drives. I just hit over 200,000 miles this year. It is an automatic. 5.0L. V8 EFI OHV 4X4 works, I had it fixed a while back, so you need to put it in 4x4 by turning the knobs on the front wheels when you engage.11/2013 This month I had rt and left front springs and perches replaced as well as font and rear shocks. What is wrong with it: 1. It looks like the front right brake drum is rusting out, but my boyfriend said as long as it starts and stops you are ok. 2. Driver side seat belt doesn't work 3. The rear bumper rusted off 4. The tires need replaced, they work, but I've had them a while 5. The ABS light has been on since God was a boy, but I fixed that by putting a picture of his son over the light and voila! 6. The back window goes up when you push down 7. The gate on the truck sticks, I had it replaced after someone hit me in the rear end a few years ago, I tried to save a couple bucks and got what I paid for. 8. The right corner of the bed is rusted through a little. 9. There is rust in a lot of places 10. The hood came up once while I was driving, so I got out, stood on it to fix it and so it is a tad bent 11.Inside rearview mirror fell off, but I still have it 12. Pretty sure the AC need recharged 13. When I have the heater on the temp gauge goes to hot after a bit, but when I turn the heat off, the arrow goes back down 14. The radiator has always been dirty. I flushed and filled it before, but it always ends up dirty 15. Since there is no back bumper there is no license plate light, but I haven't been pulled over yet. 16. It has scratches 17. Squirrels ate the alternator, the gas line and the brake line, so all of that has been replaced. You may see cotton balls in the photos, that is peppermint oil to keep the little suckers away. What is good about it: 1. It runs 2. People always comment on how cool it is, which I think is funny. At least once a week I get an offer to buy it, but I wanted to do Ebay so I get the best bang for my buck 3. It has lived 20 years!! 4. You can take the top off and make it a convertable, though i never have. 5. There are back seats that fold down to increase your load capacity. 6. The stereo is good. 7. It will plow through anything and if you happen to hit something, you won't be upset (of course assuming it is not human/animal/ or someone else's property. 8. My friend at work calls it "the beast" I got a rebuilt transmission almost as soon as I bought it Oct 2002. Transmission tweaked 11/12 Wipers linkage fixed 2/14 Idle fixed 2/15 I did not clean it out, other than to get my stuff out. I used a broom and went to the $2.50 car wash, so I bet she would shine up better if you put in some elbow grease. I don't smoke. She has potential, but I got a new truck, so I am ready to let her go. We are in Fort Wayne Indiana if you want to come and get it!
