Vehicle Detail
So if you bid on this truck and are wondering what happened to the auction, Ebay removed it because I listed the name of the loser who won the truck in my first auction and didn't pay. Amazing that Ebay would remove an auction of someone who has been a member since 2002 with 100% positive 1,000 feedback, because I hurt the feelings of a non-paying bidder who has been a member for six months with a feedback of 6. Ebay knows he didn't pay, I filed the complaint with them and they refunded my listing fees. Why does he still have an Ebay account? Now that I've explained my disappointment with Ebay, I really need to sell this truck. I'm adding a Buy It Now price of $1250. I think that's a fair price that will allow me to get my out of pocket cost back, pay the PayPal fees for the entire cost of the truck, and give some money to the two neighbor kids who helped me get it home. I'm still including the bikini top with the truck. The truck will need to be towed. I know a guy in Locust Grove who rents a trailer large enough for the truck for $65, that's how I got it home. I don't believe the mileage is correct so I put 999999 in the description. I don't know the true mileage. This auction is for a 1970 Chevy C10 Long Bed truck AND the bikini top worn by the model in the pics, thereby meeting Ebay Rules in which the model has a purpose for being in the auction. Win the truck and you can hang the bikini top around the rear view mirror (or throw it away!). Those of you who follow me know I like to have fun with my auctions. This is a nice looking 70 Chevy C10 but has some issues. Please read this description and view the pics carefully. I picked this truck up in a trade and know nothing about it, but I do trust the person I received it from and he says that the engine and transmission work fine. I haven't started it because he lost the key, but included a knew switch in manufacturers box that it can be replaced with and it will be included in this auction. THERE IS NO TITLE. Georgia is a No Title State for vehicles over 20 years old. Purchase will be made by Bill of Sale, and a Georgia Vehicle Inspection Form T22B. This inspection is performed by a Georgia Law Enforcement Officer who inspects the truck and VIN to ensure that the truck is not stolen or has loans against it, and I have already had it inspected and will provide you the signed form. The shifter on the column is not the actual shifter, so I don't know if the steering column has been replaced but it works. The shifter is a B&M and is on the floor. It is an automatic, and there is no indicator to show you what gear you are in, but its pretty straight forward: All the way forward is Park, one back is Reverse, two back is Neutral, three back is Drive, and so on. It shifts very well and is actually pretty cool to shift an auto like a manual. There is a bench seat in the cab but not in great condition and isn't bolted down at the moment. The fuel tank that is stationed behind the seat looks to be in good condition. There is rust on the rocker panel below the passenger door. I didn't see any other rust on the struck except for some surface rust in the bed. There is some damage to the front of the hood on the passenger side. The previous owner told me that he was cutting tree limbs and one fell on it, so he hammered it back out. You can see the he did just that in the close up pic. The tires are worn and should be replaced before driving it. The brakes do not work, that I am sure of. He told me the engine is a 350, but I can't guarantee for sure more than it is an 8cylinder with a four barrel. It's 2 wheel drive. The dash has some crappy foam padding on it, maybe was once the padding of a dash cover. The door windows have a really, really crappy very light window tint done to them. It could probably be scraped off. The windows don't roll up and down very easily, but they do roll up and down. The front bumper has a dent, and the grill has some dents as well. Many of the light lenses are cracked. It looks like there are some screws put into the body molding to keep it attached. I tried to show up close pics of the obvious flaws. Understand by bidding/winning this truck, you are getting it as is. Winner will be responsible for picking it up and getting it home, it will need to be towed. This truck has an amazing classic look. It will need a little work to get it running down the road, and a lot of work to get it looking right as you run it down the road. THERE IS NO RESERVE so one bid could make it yours. Any questions you have should be asked before you bid. I can't stress enough that I don't know anything about this truck other than what I've stated, so you must keep that in mind when bidding. Winner will pay a $300 deposit upon winning, the rest can be brought to me in cash on pick up. If you use the Buy It Now option, you'll need to pay the entire cost through PayPal.
