1976 BMW R-Series

This beautifully restored very functional classic BMW will certainly catch everyone's eye. It was recently seen at the Tacoma, Washington LeMay Museum Motorcycle Show. I am the second owner. This bike has had full disassembly for certified restoration. During disassembly and cleaning of all parts the frame was powder coated and triple clear coated. Swing arm and steering head bearings were replaced. A new wiring harness was fitted with battery cutoff anti-theft installed. There were new switches and the battery was replaced. An auxillary power unit was installed in the faring with fog lights. It was completely repainted by a professional body shop. This bike is fitted with very rare BMW blue pin striped rims with new tubes and tires. The engine and transmission have been completely overhauled by a BMW certified mechanic. It has a new clutch, rear main seal, throwout bearing, lower end bearings, timing chain, rings, seals and a complete valve job.It also has a pristine rabit transit faring with no cracks, dents or dings. It is painted a beautiful sky blue which sets the bike off even more. It also has new exhaust, header pipes and crossover pipe with new flange nuts and a new custom seat.This motorcycle is as nice an example of the very wonderful and dependable R series machines that you will find. Everything works as if it were a new bike. It rides and handles like it just came off the showroom floor in 1976.
