RARE FIND! 1957 CHEVROLET SHORTBED 3100 PICKUP TRUCK! BUILT ON AN 82 CHEVY FRAME! 350/350, POWER STEERING, POWER BRAKES, TILT, TURN KEY! DRIVES LIKE A NEW TRUCK! I personally own this Truck. It is titled in my name. Every photo, detail, as well as video was done by me. If you have no feedback, I would ask that you please call or message me through eBay prior to bidding. While this is an auction, I will disclose the reserve to those who would like to discuss it. Please feel free to send me a message through eBay, call, or text. My phone number is 816-308-0351. I found this Chevy, cruising the back woods of Missouri. The previous owner had owned it for approximately twenty years. Just over a decade ago, he had completely tore down the Truck, placed it on an 82 Chevy frame, and took it through an extensive restoration. After completing it, he tucked it away in his garage and rarely put his hands on it. Just have a look at the front bumper as well as the grill and you will see just how well kept this Chevy has been over the last decade. In the last week, I had the entire brake system gone through to the tune of a thousand dollars. As of today, she fires up with out any problems and cruises down the highway with out issue. She steers and brakes on a dime. She does not handle nor drive like your typical 50's Chevy. She handles exceptionally well with her more modern frame and suspension. The body of the Truck is solid and rust free. The door pockets, cab corners, floors, fenders, flares, firewall, everything is solid. It was repainted professionally in a single stage Black which shines out exceptionally well. She does have a few minor scratches in areas but overall, she looks great. The "Chevrolet" decal is falling off of the Tailgate and will need redone. All of the chrome, stainless, and glass are in excellent shape. The wood in the bed of the truck is solid but could use a restaining at some point. Both doors will need some adjusting. The engine within this Chevy is a 350. It runs out exceptionally well and has no mechanical issues. When we had first obtained it, the carburetor was leaking so we replaced it with a newer Edelbrock. She runs out exceptionally well. It doesn't leak, smoke, or burn an excess amount of fluid. The 350 Turbo Transmission also works exceptionally well. She shifts through her gears with out hesitation. The power steering setup on the Truck as well as the power brakes, make for a very pleasant drive. Being on a newer frame, gives her the feel of a newer more modernized Pickup Truck. I just had the power brake setup gone through to the tune of a thousand dollars. She stops on a dime with out any hesitation. The interior through out the Chevy is in great condition. In my personal opinion, I would upgrade the steering wheel but this is purely for cosmetic purposes. I'm just not a big fan of it. This is a nice driver quality Truck that you can either just cruise and enjoy OR, take it to the next level. If I end up keeping it, I will end up taking it where it needs to go. The underside being detailed, undercoated, new steering wheel, new set of wheels / tires, and a good detailing of the engine bay. These items are easy enough for anyone to do and they would take this Truck to a whole new place. Regardless of what you do, know that you'll be saving thousands just purchasing it. The cab of this Truck is that of a 58 but the front clip is all 57. It is titled in my name as a 58. If you would like to see this Truck in your garage, please call or email. I do have this Truck for sale locally and I would like to go ahead and reserve the right to end the auction early should it sell prior to the auction ending. My goal here is to sell the Truck. Good luck and happy bidding! Thanks, (816)308-0351 SHIPPING Export Welcome! Need assistance with shipping? Give Danielle a call at 816-682-9372.
