Vehicle Detail
1972 Chevrolet C10 Cheyenne Buzz words like “Survivor, Barn Find, Matching Numbers, Original” etc. don't do justice to this gorgeous truck... but they all apply. You're looking at one of the most stunning 1972 C-10's longbeds you will likely ever see. This Chevy C10 Cheyenne has just received a meticulous frame-up restoration. The quality of workmanship is top notch and was performed using only the best OEM replacement parts! Not only is the restoration breathtaking but we started with one of the most solid, rust free examples you will ever find. It is a numbers matching truck equipped with it's original 350 5.7L V8 engine and HydraMatic Transmission. The truck was painted it's original color combination (Hugger Orange and Classic Chevy White) inside and out and equipped with all it's original options. The body on the truck is super solid and arrow straight. Excellent fit and finish with No Filler. The frame was cleaned and recoated. The entire truck was taken down to bare metal and the factory correct acrylic paint is local/regional show quality. 90% of the chrome and stainless trim is new. (It would not take a lot for the next owner to take it to National Show Quality Level). The Wood Bed was replaced with beautiful Pine (fruitwood stain) and several coats of Marine Grade Sealant. The truck also features cold factory air conditioning. As mentioned... the truck is powered by it's original 350 V8 5.7L engine that has received a major tuneup which includes a new gasket kit, plugs, distributer, belts, etc... it performs flawlessly and has excellent compression. It also has a new Battery and Windshield. We did not change the exhaust system because we did not want to lose the beautiful throaty grumble of the existing system. If you want to mirror the undercarriage at a show this would have to be addressed. The only accessory added, that wasn't there in 1972, are Beauty Rings on the original wheels and caps. Other factory equipment includes power steering and front power disc brakes. This is a truly impressive 72 Cheyenne that has the right equipment and color combination... the Queen of C-10's. This Cheyenne is turn key ready. Everything is in working order and set to turn heads. If you want the best and most sought after C10... it doesn't get much better than this. Recent History: We purchased this truck from an automotive investor who sourced it from it's original owner. The vehicle had been off the road and in storage since the mid 80s. Since January 2015 until recently this truck has been in restoration by a respected RestoShop professional: Dave Jarvis and his team in Dale, Ohio. Now a solid #2... according to Hagerty Valuation (Average Value $23K and this truck is above average). This C10 Cheyenne could be raised to #1 for minimal investment. You can treat her as a Daily Driver or Trailer Queen... either way this is one sweet vehicle. If you would like to have this vehicle inspected and evaluated by an independent expert, and you can make arrangements with someone in this area (45786), we will be pleased to accommodate. Your representative is wecome to visit the truck in Waterford, Ohio or we will trailer the truck to any site within a 60 mile radius. The inspection will be at your expense. We can assist the buyer with transportation arrangements, if necessary.
