Hi, up for auction is my 1973 BMW R 75/5 long wheel base motorcycle. This is an original toaster tank bike. Here is a video showing a 360 walk a round, and start up to hear it running: 1973 BMW This bike has a neat story. It was left in storage since the early 80's before I bought it 10 years ago. During the last 10 years I only drove this bike 870 miles. I had the bike completly serviced back then, and during the last 10 years it has been maintained and worked on by The Spare Parts Company in Philadelphia. They rebuilt the carbs, replaced the rear drive shaft seal, and replaced the original tires with Michelan Macadum's, and replaced the ignition parts. I replaced the seat cover with an excellent quality replacement, and it looks like new. I have also installed a brand new battery This bike now has 5,422 ORIGINAL miles (8,727 KM) The speedo is in KM. The bike had BMW/2 low bars, and a headlight guard installed at some point in the 70's, but they still look like new. I just had the carbs rebuilt and tuned last month by Montgomeryville Cycle Center. Included are the 2 original chrome and black side covers, and one mirror. These are not installed on the bike. This bike is in original unrestored condition. It still has the ORIGINAL rear shocks, and mufflers from 1973. Every light and blinker works on this bike. Only the horn is not currently working.
