1973 Ford Maverick for sale by owner. I am not a dealer. I purchased this car through an Alabama dealership 3 years ago. It was a true barn find. There's no surface rust. Originally the cars under carriage was rust proofed with the thick black rubber coating. The floor boards and under body is in excellent shape. The engine is an inline 6 Cylinder. New rebuilt carburetor, full length 6 tube header with 2.5 exhaust pipe and 2.5 turbo muffler. Because it's got a big six motor the car sounds like it's got a V8 in it. The transmission is a 3 speed on the floor. It was originally on the column but, I moved it for Everything works. All gauges, switches and knobs. I drive the car 60 MPH on the highway and it cruises along with he best of them very smoothly. I have all original parts. Original big bumper that came on the 1973 Maverick. I switched it over to give it a more clean look. I have the original steering wheel, Factory OEM wheels and stainless moon center caps. They are still mounted on the original bias ply tires. Washer fluid sprayer works. windshield wiper works, heat blows hot and vents support the summer breeze. The came with the factory air but, was removed by the time I acquired the car. However, the bracket and drive pulley for AC is still on the car. Brakes are original drum and have been gone through by a certified mechanic along with an alignment. Has no problem steering or stopping... This car was inspected by the state highway patrols office to verify the numbers match. Engine, Frame and Chassis. I have all paperwork, receipts for all restoration parts and service work. Forget about the mustang... Add some historical Ford Maverick fun back to your life...
