Honda Honda 1973 Honda CB175 Super Sport. I purchased this great little Honda a few years ago with the intent of restoring it. Unfortunately, I don't have the time or the experience to restore the bike properly. I'd really like someone with experience in bikes to follow through with what's needed. It's much too nice to simply part out and for the right person, I don't feel it will take much effort. This is a part of our history and there is just not many left like this one. When I purchased the bike it started, ran, shifted, stopped - the headlights and signals all worked. I'm selling what I feel is an excellent candidate for a full and complete restoration. It should be restored. Below, I will do my best to describe the condition of the bike. Please note I'm not a mechanic nor do I have any expertise with motorcycles. As you'll see in the photos, the fuel tank is in remarkable condition with original paint. Saddle is also clean with no rips, tears or noticable wear. While well preserved, the bike does have concerns. After all, it is 42 years old. The exhaust pipes show aging chrome but appear original and are free from dents or holes. Throttle, clutch and brake cables are weathered and need replaced. I would recommend that all gaskets and other plastic parts be refreshed. I would recommend that clutch, chain and other wear parts be checked out. The front chrome fender has some minor dings and less than perfect shine. The rear fender has issues as well but I do have an excellent and original replacement that will be part of the sale. Tires are weather checked and as such, need replaced. Before being considered safe to ride, I recommend you have an inspection performed by someone qualified to do so.
