Up for auction is a 1981 DeLorean DMC-12. Early production 1981 model, #2373. Black interior, manual transmission. The vehicle was derivable 7 years ago but had been in storage for the last 7 years after requiring an engine rebuild. Unfortunately I did not have the resources at the time to repair it. Assume that due to the time in storage, there will be major repairs necessary: brakes, tires, hoses, fuel system, interior finishes, etc. This DeLorean is sold AS-IS. Please don't bid unless you are educated on what it will take to get this vehicle roadworthy. I'd be happy to answer any questions you have and send additional photos. The engine is non-operational and requires a rebuild. The vehicle has been in storage for 7 years, and thus will require all the restoration as a result of that. This includes: fuel system, hoses, brakes, tires, etc. There are issues with the interior, primarily cracked dashboard. Please educate yourself on the cost involved. When it was at the Delorean Motor Center in Garden Grove, CA in 2008, It was confirmed that the engine needs a rebuild. As stated before, the vehicle has been in storage for 7 years, so based on that assume that every major mechanical system needs to be restored. This is including brakes, hoses, tires, fuel system, interior finishes, etc. PLEASE EMAIL ME WITH QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING.
