Up for auction is my beloved 1991 Toyota Corolla DX. Only reason I'm selling this is because I found a 90 corolla with 47,000 miles and it just makes sense to keep that one. This corolla has been really, really good to me and amazingly dependable. Has never left me stranded and I have driven her everywhere. On a trip to North Carolina she averaged 35+ MPG and drove like a top. Last year I gave the car a full service including replacing the radiator, water pump, timing belts, alternator, plugs, cap, rotor, air filter, rear brake pads, shoes, hardware, full fluid flush, master cylinder, four all new all season tires, always changed engine oil every 2500 miles with 10-40 and did tranny oil and filter, all accessory drive belts, converted AC system to R134A and BLOWS ICE COLD!!! Was a dream this summer. CD player installed and everything works. Blows really hot heat. Tranny shifts wonderfully, motor is strong and compression was 180 across all 4 cylinders when checked last year when I did the plugs. Car drives straight as an arrow and suspension is tight and quiet. Doesnt smoke, doesnt hesitate, motor is quiet as a mouse. This car has been treated well. Just turn the key and go anywhere. Great cheap transportation for college student, beginner or just back and forth to work everyday. $20 to fill the tank and drive all week! Body is a little rough as the fender wells have been repaired with fiberglass and given a coat of paint that looks great for a daily driver.
