1971 FJ40 LANDCRUISER with Chevy 350 Motor and 4 Speed Transmission Conversion, Power Steering, Lift Kit, Rear Disc Brake Conversion, Full Roll Cage. I purchased this FJ40 about a year ago with the intentions of painting it a different color and putting a little money and time into it and using it to cruise around the mountains here in Utah...long story short, i drove it home, put it in my garage and never even started it until today (Oct 7)...now realizing that i don't have the time to do anything with it and i never even drove it once i bought it, i am going to get rid of it. It fired up nicely today and i drove it to the gas station and put a couple gallons in then drove around the neighborhood, took a few pictures and here it is now on ebay!! The previous owner used it as his daily driver around town, i personally like new cars too much to make one of these my DD's. Here is what i know about this FJ40: The blue-ish paint that is on it is like a plastidip type stuff...you can peel it off ( i peeled off a section on the driver side rear panel, as you will see in the pics and then sprayed some primer and black rattle can paint on that area) It has: 4 speed Chevy Transmission with first gear Granny gear (shifts great) 4" Lift Kit Power Steering Chevy 350 runs good and Tranny shifts great. FULL Roll Cage. It has a CD player in it (but I'm not sure if the speakers are hooked up). The lights work, turn signals work, etc. The heater works. Most of the gauges do not work. The Gas Gauge Works ( i put gas in it today and the gauge rose) The Battery Gauge Works and the RPM Gauge Works. I believe the speedometer is not hooked up. It does leak a little oil. The cruiser sounds good and exhaust sounds solid. The front seats could be reupholstered, but they do slide forward and backward (they currently have some cheap seat covers on them that were on them when i got it)...there are no back seats. There is a pair of soft doors and obviously the hard top and hard doors are all there. The windows roll up and down and no cracked or broken glass anywhere. I am not a landcruiser junky nor am i a mechanic, however feel free to ask questions and i will answer them the best i can. This is a no reserve auction, highest bidder gets it.
