Here is your next project car. 1981 ford Thunder bird with a 428 cobra jet engine , c-6 automatic , and 9" ford rear axle. It needs an owner with more time than I have available to me. Definitely not a common specimen. Would make a goodrat rod or resto mod project. Has edelbrock aluminum intake and water pump. msd ignition box with rev limiter. Cant remember for sure, but I think it has a comp cam. tci stall converter. Should have radiator replaced or repaired as it leaks some. Exhaust donut leaks on drivers side. If you want a perfect car this is not it. Could use some interior and body work. Sold as a project only, It runs and drives but needs some time put into it. Has cj manifolds , block , and heads. Has fuel cell in trunk. I still have the replacement gas tank that was in it. I also have some other odds and ends that will go with it. On Oct-06-15 at 17:45:29 PDT, seller added the following information: Updates from original builder of this project. original cj mustang heads , manifolds , and 9" center housing from 1968 mustang. I have sales slip from a purchaser of the donor car as a used car in 1971. copy of a title for t- bird in 1982 as a used purchase. The block currently in the car had 428 in the water jacket floor and a c raised letter in back of block. Has extra webbing onmain bearing supports.
