Vehicle Detail
1958 Fleetwood This Somerset Blue Fleetwood was sold new in Lawton, OK and has been with the same family since. Bertha quit driving in 1981 and the car has not been driven since then. This is a rare opportunity to own a prime unmolested example of one of the most sought after Cadillacs of the 1950s. This car is complete and all of the chrome and stainless trim polishes up really nice. The body shows evidence of prior repairs and there are a couple of bumps and bruises typical of a little old lady driving a big old car. The body is very solid and the glass is good as well. The only real rust issues are a the drivers side rear floor pan and the very bottom of the spare tire well in the trunk. There is still some original paint with lots of spot work and the original interior is useable for a driver if you so wish. I purchased the car 2 years ago and never intended to part with it. Now I have decided to send her on to someone who has the time to give her the attention she deserves. The engine turns over very well but I have not tried to fire her up because I like to drain the fuel tank and clean the fuel system before doing that. With a battery hooked up all lights work and there does not appear to be any drains on the electrical system. The family swore that the 44,000 miles showing are accurate and I believe that to be accurate. The 1981 Safety Inspection sticker is still in place on the windshield. Whether you are looking for a car to restore or one to just polish up and enjoy the patina as I had planned, this is a great car. You will truly be the King of Chrome wherever you go. 58 Fleetwoods don't come along every day. The title was lost long ago and the car has fallen out of the Oklahoma State registration system. The car is sold with a notarized bill of sale only. A valid Oklahoma title can be obtained for an additional $200 and an approximately 90 day waiting period if you so desire. The car is located in Oklahoma City, OK and can be stored outside for up to 30 days while you make shipping arrangements. A 20% deposit is due within 24 hours of the auction close with the balance due within 72 hours via cash or certified bank transfer.
