Vehicle Detail
This auction is for a 2004 Ford F550 Crew Cab Super Duty 6.0L Powerstroke Turbo Diesel 4x4 with a flatbed and gooseneck hitch. Take a look at the pictures, they will tell a lot. This Crew Cab F550 has a body that is in excellent shape. There are no major dents in the body. The paint is in great condition with only a couple spots where it is worn and there is minimal, if any, rust. The flatbed is in excellent shape as well. This truck has not been used and abused. There is a gooseneck hitch that flips down when not in use. The bed is 11 feet long and wide enough to cover the dually axle. The tires are 225 /70 R19.5 and have lots of tread left. Look at the pictures. The F550 has the extendable towing mirrors, two bench seats with nice seat covers, rubber floors, automatic transmission, manual transfer case, and an aftermarket CD player. Four of the eight injectors were replaced and a high pressure oil pump was installed. Mechanically, the engine, transmission, and drivetrain are sound. The other four injectors need to be replaced. The starter needs to be replaced. It wore out from overcranking trying to start the engine with the four bad injectors. When the engine is warm, or it is warm outside (above 80 degrees fahrenheit) the truck would start fairly smoothly. When it is cooler or the engine was cold, it it much harder to start. Hence, the bad starter. If the injectors are replaced, and the starter is replaced, this truck would run and drive excellently. The only other issue is that the wheels need to be balanced. It may need an alignment, but the way it is acting, it seems more likely that it just needs the wheels balanced. The reserve price is low, super low. It is set at the salvage value of the engine. This is a great truck; someone willing to do the work mentioned above will be getting a steal and should have lots of equity left in the truck after repairs. This truck is sold as-is. There are no warranties implied or stated. A deposit of $500 is due at the auction's end via paypal. The buyer will have 14-days after auction's end to pay the balance and pickup the truck. If shipping is necessary, it is the buyer's responsibility to make arrangements and pay for shipping. If buyer will be picking up the truck in person, the balance can be paid at time of pickup.
