This auction is for an '82 Honda CB900f in very good, un-molested original cond. with only 7,470 miles. This 900f has both of the rather rare ''Sport Control'' kits that were available from Honda and sold separately; not as an option as I recall. One kit was the ''rearset'' foot controls, the other the ''Sport'' handlebar and appropriate shorter cables. Although these were considered sporty at the time, by today's standards they provide an upright riding position, but with better ergos than the somewhat forward footpegs and high bar of the stock 900f. For those unfamiliar with the history, the 900f followed the ground-breaking 750f and was the basis for Honda's AMA Superbike effort in the early '80s, ridden by luminaries like Freddie Spencer and Mike Baldwin. In it's day, it was one of the best handling sportbikes from Japan. This bike is an original survivor, not a ''barn find''. The previous owner rode the bike continuously, albeit sparingly; it runs and rides as well as it looks. Please check the 'Description' section above, where I've given a detailed description of the bike's condition, taking care to point out the flaws, which are also shown in the photos. The bike is sold without warranty, express or implied; after all it is a 33 yr. old bike, but I've represented it as fairly and honestly as possible.
